Brother John uk... I cannot take credit. The Lord put that verse in my mind. Frankly, he put the book of Hebrews on my heart. That book is one of my favorites. Thanks for the encouragement!
Jim... I have certainly felt worse earthquakes. But this series of earthquakes is interesting considering that the fault starts in la habra,ca. Goes right under downtown Los Angeles and ends in Hollywood. experts say if there was a 7.5 on that fault, it would be devastating to the above.
Shane, while you might get a large earth mover, the odds are that you won't. This 'quake seems to be your "household" variety. What I also dislike about them is that a person then is sensitized to every little aftershock (though the one you had today, wasn't quite that little ) The problem is when a Semi goes 10 blocks away from you, you know it, and wonder if that's another aftershock. I hope the ground settles down out there soon.
We have a fault in in Nebraska which I don't think ever went above a 3. But is the San Madrid fault pops again down St. Louis way, we will no doubt notice that one.
Shane wrote: John Uk... Ohhhh! First day morning trivia. I like it. Hebrews 3:1 Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession. Answer: The true church brother.
Brother Shane, You have exceeded all my expectations, and brought out the perfect answer, one which I had not even thought of. But you are absolutely correct.
I won't even tell you of the one I was thinking of, as it would only be a big anticlimax.
Christopher... thanks. Socal is short for southern California. It's amazing. Used to live about 10 miles away from the center of that earthquake. Only 2 months ago. We just moved about 25 miles away. Not far enough though. Oh by the way.... Rhode Island has earthquake faults as well. Just not as many. Sorry. Your not out of the woods. I'm being light hearted of course.
Glad You're ok, Shane. Didn't know you lived in CA, so I can't say I thought about you...sorry...ha-ha. Beautiful part of the country but I'll take the tectonic safety of the upper states. Now watch, we'll have a quake today.
