Vatican: Obama’s Policies ‘Have Become Progressively More Hostile Toward Christian Civilization’
The Vatican’s chief justice feels that President Barack Obama’s policies have been hostile toward Christians.

In an interview with Polonia Christiana magazine –and transcribed by Life Site News — Cardinal Raymond Burke said that Obama “promotes anti-life and anti-family policies.”

“It is true that the policies of the president of the United States have become progressively more hostile toward Christian civilization. He appears to be a totally secularized man who aggressively promotes anti-life and anti-family policies,” Burke told the magazine. ...

Point taken; but I'm an optimist. The healing of our land must begin with us humbling ourselves and turning from our own wicked ways. Daunting but not impossible.

This was an interview published on a CBS website!!! Cardinal Burke is spot on!!! If only "heavy weights" in the Protestant churches would stand up and give similar public responses as Cardinal Burke then maybe their congregations would speak out and have their voices heard and votes counted. Praise God that public opinion is turning in favor of life but it is the churches that are still hiding behind clothes doors in much the same way the disciples/apostles hid after Jesus was crucified thinking their precious cause was a lost one. But as the angel told the women to tell them after His resurrection to come out from hiding we must remind those of us who are pro-life that there is new life in this issue also. Rise and tell your neighbor that we can resist the principality/power that the President is over and get our representatives to overturn laws that rattle our moral conscious and replace them with righteous ones. Our votes and the votes of our representatives are constitutional; the president's pen is not.

Note what Mr. Burke does not say: He has no objection to the rest of the welfare-state, which Rome has always endorsed (contrary to what Nat'l Review contributors say).
Philosophical arithmetic:
Catholic Social Teaching
+ abortion
+ birth-control
= Progressivism or (in Europe) "Christian" Democracy

JSC, we expedite nothing. God's does things in his own time and ways, Christ will return in God's own time. In fact the idea we can expedite anything might be considered one of the Destructive Heresies in Today's Church.

Of course, the evils of the Romish Church, falls under the category of "the pot calling the kettle black," since Should Roman Catholicism really be classified as a Christian religion? -- No.

Good comments but there is more to it. Truthfully a theological foundation will direct doctrine and the problem doesn't start with money but AGREEING with what God has revealed about Himself and about us which blurs the lines regarding what God declares as Holy and unclean. And scripture makes these things very clear so are the "heavy weights" disagreeing with God? Piper, Chan, and others have come out in defense of Bickle. What about Driscol and his actions? It really does start here. Calvin, Knox, Bunyon, Luther were so convinced of the truth and drew lines and never waivered so what is the difference? And where does this place myself? Where am I standing?
Peter tells us to act and work to expedite the coming of the Lord and that is through gospel proclamation, Matt 24 this gospel will be preached to all the nations then the end will come

Thank you for the encouragement Carl

Now the 'heavyweights' and most of the lightweights in the Protestant USA universe are way to concerned about protecting their 501c3 status to openly engage like Cardinal Burke. But with our prayers and actions, I too think we are on the right track

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon
