LGBT Activists Derail Stanford Funding for Marriage Conference
The Graduate Student Council (GSC) of prestigious Stanford University in California (campus shown) has shot down a request for funding from a university group that is planning a pro-marriage conference entitled “Communicating Values: Marriage, Family and the Media.” The Stanford Anscombe Society says that its campus mission is to promote “discussion regarding the roles of the family, marriage, and sexual integrity in the lives of Stanford students both now and after graduation.”

But National Review reported that when the group approached Stanford's GSC to request $600 in funding for the event, the government group was convinced by campus homosexual organizations that the conference amounted to “anti-LGBT” hate speech. “Over 100 students, many organized by the queer graduate group GradQ, showed up at the GSC meeting on 'Communicating Values' and, according to the minutes of the meeting, decried ...

To help with the old memory, it wasn't Moyers who wrote "Five reasons why Americans already love Obamacare," which you posted link to more than once. It was written by a noted lesbian, Sally Cohn. Then you justified it by saying:
"Remember the first word in ACA is "Afordable" while Mike of NY may not love the writer of this piece (the main question here is she truthful)"

So when you question the source of an article written in New American magazine, I should think an independent minded guy might apply the same standards, don't you think?

Just as in the case of Israel in Egyptian bondage, all of this will only serve to show forth the Power of God. We must be faithful to proclaim Christ, even if they do violence against us. Christ Jesus is worry.

I am sorry to hear that Stanford University was stifling free speech, since academically, it is one of the better secular universities in the country.
As you have said often before, the source of the info doesn't matter as long as it's the truth.

Ah, not that I have any complaints about the article, which seems to be accurate, but I do have a little queasiness about SA using a John Birch Society publication--in effect. Another very conservative source would've been, Stanford Calls Traditional Marriage Conference ‘Hate Speech’, Denies Funding. I would even say, SA's source did give more details. Private funding was going to be provided for this presentation.

I am sorry to hear that Stanford University was stifling free speech, since academically, it is one of the better secular universities in the country.
