John MacArthur, influential author, pastor and seminary president, recently announced during the Shepherds' Conference held at Grace Community Church plans for a biblical inerrancy summit to bring a new generation "in line with the truth."
MacArthur believes the "true doctrine of inerrancy is under attack" and "anything that undermines the absolute inerrancy of Scripture destroys the foundation of all Christian truth."
"Trusting the Bible is everything," he stressed to The Christian Post.
Shortly after the conference at the church in Sun Valley, Calif., MacArthur was asked by The Christian Post for an interview to answer questions about his focus on biblical inerrancy. He was also asked about the criticism he has faced for teaching that the Charismatic movement is leading people astray and dishonors the Holy Spirit....
MacArthur said, "Current publications demonstrate that the true doctrine of inerrancy is under attack. Some of these attacks are subtle while others are more blatant, but anything that undermines the absolute inerrancy of Scripture destroys the foundation of all Christian truth. Trusting the Bible is everything. "
He is right. This the danger of Pentecostslism. Their extra biblical revelations undermine the authority of scripture. They imply, "why do we need the Bible when the most recent revelation is more important."

Not Kenny: No need to insult me and call me names unless that's all you've got. Answer my questions. Show me where I'm wrong.
Macarthur and Sproul, as well ad a host of others, have been crusaders on this issue, Thank God. There are some who would take the Barthian approach and say the Bible contains true, but is not inerrant.

Exactly which Bible is it that MacArthur believes to be inerrant? His 'study Bible' comes in an assortment of versions (but not the AV) and they all say different things. Therefore, they cannot possibly all be inerrant. Things that are different are not the same. So which one does he claim to be inerrant? He will likely claim that "the originals" are inerrant. Which "originals"? Where are they? How do we find them? This ought to be interesting.
I love that he,has,a conference warning of heresy then puts together a conferrence directly dealing with the core issue so the charismatics are without excuse and those that stand for inerrancy do not deal with secondary issues which is never helpful God thank you for raising men like MacArthur as a sign of your help, guidence, care and involvement with Your people today
