Pope Cancels Tentative ‘Noah’ Meeting With Russell Crowe
Pope Francis has nixed a would-be meet and greet with the creative team behind “Noah,” including star Russell Crowe, director Darren Aronofsky and Paramount vice chair Rob Moore, which studio executives had been scrambling to schedule as a photo-op, Variety has learned.

The meeting was tentatively on the calendar for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the VIP section so the pope could figuratively lend a blessing to the $125 million biblical epic. The reason the Vatican cancelled it, according to a source, is over concerns word would leak, causing a spectacle as Crowe and Aronofsky landed in Rome.

When reached by Variety last week, Aronofsky said the meeting had been proposed, but it wouldn’t happen if anybody reported or tweeted about it ahead of time. ...

'Already banned in some Middle Eastern countries, Noah will rile some for the complete omission of the name “God” from the dialogue, others for its numerous dramatic fabrications and still more for its heavy-handed ecological doomsday messages, which unmistakably mark it as a product of its time.' excerpt from Russell Crowe stars in Darren Aronofsky's Bible-based epic.

By the way, Should Roman Catholicism really be classified as a Christian religion? -- No. Anyway, one can also ask, What Bible is the Vatican reading?. I wonder if Pope Franny is going to set this right?

Since the film makers asked for the Pope's approval, an Emissary of Satan, Christians really need to avoid this film.

Perhaps Pope Franny was too worried that it might be accurate like the following?
Secrets of the Vatican(Rated "M").

More likely is that the Romish didn't get a big enough cut of the profits. . oh, can't forget imagine something about Franny himself, Jesus Christ, Our One & Only High Priest and Requirements of Every High Priest

Well, at least they didn't cancel it because the movie gives a false description of the story of Noah, as well as having the influence of other religions in it, such as Islam.

Way to stay true to your roots, Rome

"The reason the Vatican cancelled it, according to a source, is over concerns word would leak, causing a spectacle as Crowe and Aronofsky landed in Rome."

This is a sham. Tha Antichrist lives for spectacle and his every move is a spectacle,
