McDonald’s Corp. (MCD), the world’s largest restaurant chain, said sales at stores open at least 13 months fell 0.3 percent in February as its U.S. business slumped for the fourth straight month amid harsh weather.
Analysts estimated a 0.1 percent decline, the average of 15 projections from Consensus Metrix. Domestic same-store sales slid 1.4 percent, Oak Brook, Illinois-based McDonald’s said in a statement today, while analysts anticipated a drop of 0.6 percent in the U.S.
McDonald’s, which has more than 14,200 U.S. locations, has been trying to attract Americans with coffee and breakfast foods. The fast-food industry also is struggling with shaky consumer confidence and a severe winter that McDonald’s says hurt its U.S. sales last month....

Me too, Christropher. I really liked Dopey..don't know Chris, but you are right and they need our prayers. We forget sometimes, how powerful prayers are and you experienced that recently and I have also through the years. I was in a class once at a woman's retreat. The leader told us that when we tell someone that all we can do for them is pray for their situation, is like saying, well all I can is send up a ballistic missile for you
Christropher, I do the same thing but I quickly back off if the person I'm trying to help starts resenting that help, well you are actually doing more harm than good if you continue. I have learned this lesson well through my adult children who have children, have I succeded, no but I know not to interfere in their lives no matter how messed up they maybe at times. One almost went bankrupt and their finances are a mess even now. They are adults and as far as religion, I do not tell them what church to attend..one dated a church of christ girl, and went to her church, which bothered me some. They broke up and he's back in the Baptist Church and I keep trying to figure out what is the true Church that some on here seem to see as having the right beliefs? I know the ones that don't but what is the one that does? That's my thinking and I may be wrong.. I guess it's fun and caring to help someone see something but right now with a friend I'm trying make her see what a good marriage and husband she has and be thankful and continues to ignore me just makes me realize she really doesn't want my advice so I have backed off.
Hi Dolores, I can only speak for myself, but for me, it's care and concern. Whether the topic is religion, diet; spiritual health, or physical, I just like to get more details, and then discuss why it's right, wrong, or doesn't matter to the person and listen to their reasoning. Now, I don't believe in denegrating anyone because they don't see a certain side of an issue, but I think it's important to discuss and definitely fair game if they bring it up. Again, this is just my own perspective and I'm fully aware that sometimes some comments should have went unsaid. Just talking in general, not necessarily this particular thread.
