Rand Paul Is the King of CPAC

A year after his 13-hour filibuster won the hearts of young conservatives just a week ahead of the 2013 Conservative Political Action Conference, the fandom for Sen. Rand Paul here has only grown.

Paul gave a speech Friday before the first standing-room-only crowd at the conference so far, asking a cheering audience, "Will you, America's next generation of liberty-lovers, will you stand and be heard?"

Following his typical style, Paul's speech focused largely on personal freedom, the Fourth Amendment, and rights he alleged are being usurped by the Obama administration, while avoiding the tricky topic of foreign policy, where his libertarian views are not as widely accepted by conservatives here. ...

Gasp! Ernie is really smart even if highly irritating. Here is a transcript of a speech he gave, Ernie Chambers: Hero of the First Amendment. Oh, he was wrong about paying chaplains--

1 Timothy 5
17 Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching. 18 For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.” And, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”

Ernie did point out the position of Chaplain was worthless.

Jim, certainly with the rumor mill, the truth is not the goal, but rather division and subjugation.

per Wikipedia documented info:

Senator Chambers' politics are liberal

Senator Chambers initiated a lawsuit in 1980 attempting to end the Legislature's practice of beginning its session with a prayer offered by a state-supported chaplain,

Senator chambers brought up the bogus child prostitution ring charges that ended up in perjury charges against the perpetrators of the hoax by a grand jury.

On September 14, 2007, Chambers filed a lawsuit against God, seeking a permanent injunction ordering God to "cease certain harmful activities and the making of terroristic threats...of grave harm to innumerable persons, including constituents of Plaintiff who Plaintiff has the duty to represent

This is the wise man from Nebraska????? really?????

Penny, I dont know if it this thread I should look further down and see if it was, but I put up a New York Times article, that was actually rather complimentary Randy Paul. Do I still think that he, Ted Cruz, and Rubio are demagogues, yes. However, I don't doubt that Mr Paul is smart. I could give you an example from the Nebraska Legislature. Ernie chambers is a very smart member, and perhaps even the smartest person in the unicameral. However, I would not say that he is wise, because he is even an atheist. Now that precludes wisdom. So, Mr Paul, maybe very smart but he certainly lacks wisdom in the political arena.

I did find it interesting that Miss Glick had some kind words for him, considering the Pauls are not known to be very Pro Jewish.

The Propaganda ministers at CNN just introduced the most hated war monging Senator of our generation, as the 'Senator who has been right all along.' The Senator who befriends terrorists of all stripes just pontificated that Crimeans arent qualified to have a legitimate vote for their future

Jim, now that's just plain doublespeak. those who want to deal fairly with other nations, protect their own borders and live within their means are isolationists? while the munster show that cries in front of a camera everytime they don't get a war and extols freedom fighters, that's not isolationism? -- you really think this is the way a nation makes friends?? that's just more divisive lingo, goes right along with race baiting.

Sorry, again, but it is a pity you still have read, Rand Paul: Did an Old Prejudice Rear Its Head In His CPAC Speech?. The Pauls are dangerous Isolationists, and until Junior shows he doesn't bury his head in the sand, then its just something to worry about.

No, Randy, so far is a clown copy of his father, he'd better make some changes to be considered seriously by anyone besides CPAC.
