Protestant work ethic isn’t just Protestant anymore
America’s vaunted Protestant work ethic is getting a makeover: Now it might be more of an atheist work ethic.

A new study has found an inverse relationship between the religiosity of a state’s population and its “productive entrepreneurship.” That’s professor-speak for “entrepreneurial investment responsible for real economic growth.”

In other words, the less religious a state’s population, the more likely it is to have a healthy economy.

Prosperity comes only at the Lord's gracious hand. The atheists are nothing more than the little dogs who feed off the crumbs that fall from the master's table. If they think they can turn their back on The Lord and be prosperous let them roll the dice and see how long it lasts.

Zechariah 8:12 KJV
[12] For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things .

"In other words, the less religious a state’s population, the more likely it is to have a healthy economy."

Matt 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Luke 16:11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

So hate God worship mammon and make sure you are faithful to unrighteous mammon and that will get you saved. Ok!

We do owe a lot to our Judeo-Christian heritage, (What does Judeo-Christian Mean?) However, the article itself didn't identify the religious people as Protestants, many could be Catholics, a church infamous for not pushing the work ethic The only state that appears to be associated with a particular religion was Utah, infamous for the Mormon cult, q.v., Roman Catholics, Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses. I suppose one should look further and see how productive they are in secular occupations?

Proverbs 6
6 Go to the ant, O sluggard, Observe her ways and be wise,
7 Which, having no chief, Officer or ruler,
8 Prepares her food in the summer, And gathers her provision in the harvest.
9 How long will you lie down, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep?
10 "A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest"--
11 And your poverty will come in like a vagabond, And your need like an armed man.---NASB
