Federal Judge Strikes Down Texas’ Ban on Same-Sex Marriage
A federal judge in Texas struck down the state’s ban on same-sex marriage on Wednesday, ruling that the laws restricting marriage to a man and a woman violated the United States Constitution and handing gay-rights advocates a major legal victory in one of the nation’s biggest and most conservative states.

The judge wrote that the amendment to the state Constitution that Texas voters approved in 2005 defining marriage as between a man and a woman — and two similar laws passed in 1997 and 2003 — denied gay couples the right to marry and demeaned their dignity “for no legitimate reason.”

“Without a rational relation to a legitimate governmental purpose, state-imposed inequality can find no refuge in our United States Constitution,” wrote Judge Orlando L. Garcia of United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, in San Antonio. ...

"Without a rational relation to a legitimate governmental purpose . . . " this implies that our own government believes that perversion is rational, legitimate and related to a governmental purpose. The question is what governmental purpose does homosexual behavior serve?

"ruling that the laws restricting marriage to a man and a woman violated the United States Constitution"

Here we go again another bureaucrat fighting for the institution of Sodom and Gomorrah. For centuries and millennia man has known that homosexuality is wrong unnatural and morally abhorrent. Now we find politicians, judges and bishops who are so blind and ignorant of what is natural and moral that they support what is contrary to the laws of nature.

Psalm 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

Come Lord Jesus, come soon.

Seems odd, but that's the hierarchy. A lerfect6 example of the lunacy is the lelegalization of medi MJ at the state level. Everything is legal and proper but the feds can come in at any time to shut down the dispensary and charge the owner with drug trafficking.
