Mormon Church Pushes Back Against ‘Cartoonish Image of People Receiving Their Own Planets’
The Mormon Church is pushing back against a misconception it says has been spread by pop culture: that members of the faith are taught they’ll get their own planet in the afterlife.

The idea has been popularized by the Broadway show “The Book of Mormon,” but the church is now hoping to correct the misconception.

A newly posted article affirms the faith’s belief that humans can become like God in eternity, but says the “cartoonish image of people receiving their own planets” is not how members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints envision it. ...

You really do need psychological help to believe that the Catholic Church is a cult and has anything in common with the Jehovah Witness and Mormon organizations. The Catholic Church believes in only the One God of the Bible, worships the biblical and historical Jesus and affirms the Holy Trinity and thus the Catholic Church is not a cult. The Mormons believe in and worship a multiplicity of gods, state that man will become gods, state that God was once a man, don't worship the biblical and historical Jesus, state that the devil is the brother of Jesus, state that the Holy Spirit is a fluid or substance and thus there are no Christian doctrines in Mormonism. The Jehovah Witnesses deny that Jesus is God, don't worship Jesus as God, deny the Holy Trinity and thus there are no Christian doctrines in the Jehovah Witness organization.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 KJV
[3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come , except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; [4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

That is the least of their heresies. They deny that Jesus is only begotten Son of God - His divinity.

1 John 4:3 KJV
[3] And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

They are one step behind the Papists who make themselves God while they are still alive.

That cartoon accurately depicts Mormon doctrine because Mormon doctrine states that individuals will become gods.

"A newly posted article affirms the faith’s belief that humans can become like God"

Where have I heard that before?

Genesis 3:4-5 "And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be llke gods, knowing good and evil."

After all these years, satan hasnt even had to change his tactics.
