People No Longer Trust Traditional Media

By way of of social media, people look more to their friends and family for reliable information, including shared links to news stories, a Facebook manager for policy told Christian media professionals during the opening session of the National Religious Broadcasters Convention on Saturday.

"People no longer trust, I'm sorry to say, TV, radio, newspapers, campaigns, organizations – they don't trust them as much," said Katie Harbath, during the conferences first keynote session. Her work at Faceback focuses on political outreach. "But what they do trust is when that information comes from a friend or family member." ...

One good example of moralism is the pharisee at his public prayer pointing out how much better than anyone else. Where am I a moralist? I still have a soft spot for Prohibition --I wish that could be done with cigarettes too!-- but is that going to happen, no. Does it change the person who wants to smoke and drink inwardly even though he still can't smoke and drink, no. In fact sad to say when it comes to man after the 1,000 year Kingdom, The Inadequacy of Moralism will be seen after be exposed to Christ for a Millennium It will show beyond doubt that man's heart is corrupt and he will want to follow evil ways even without Satan present.

The Unscriptural Theologies Of Amillennialism And Postmillennialism just doesn't work. By the way --except for the Bible-- a believer can and should question everything including traditional media, they can make errors both intentional and unintentional that's a good reason to study logic, logic which is explained in, Come, Let Us Reason

Well sure, man is always looking for excuses to do nothing, say nothing and stand for nothing....if all else fails he uses the bible to excuse it.

Hey Jim, since you post the Moralism link so often, how about providing your personal definition of it? What does it mean to you?

The people no longer trust the society they helped to create,Americans like to stand back and shake their head at the mess they allowed to be made, that was made on their watch and on their dime, with their votes, they lament then create career policticans by returning them to office year after year....sorry America,in the end it was you who could not be trusted to protect and defend what the forefathers gave us....so stop with the blame game already.

The history books if they are honest will always blame Americans for the fall of America.

"People no longer trust, I'm sorry to say, TV, radio, newspapers, campaigns, organizations – they don't trust them as much,"

What about politicians and bureaucrats???
When institutions suffer from lack of power and authority it is because God has removed it.

And Christians no longer trust churches and theologians.

What is missing is "authority" and "respect"

These only come from God as Romans 13 teaches. So when the nation casts off the Bible and does not worship God Biblically - Then the Lord punishes the wicked nations with their own sinful practices. The nations are suffering from apostasy heresy idolatry and blasphemy. So why should the Lord bless them in any way at all?

Rom 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Psalm 94:23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

out of the frying pan into the fire.

facebook of all places, they censor.

I think the truth is more like a generation that once pretended to believe in the foundational need of freedom of thought and journalism, has moved on to frivolities and time wasting diversions that they can hold in the palm of their hand.

palm readers are an inch deep, information doesn't even fit on those little things, the newspapers of old had hundreds of words. soundbites do not educate.
