El Rushbo: Obama descending into 'Stalinism'
For two days in a row, Rush Limbaugh has warned his huge radio audience that President Obama’s behavior was increasingly “lawless,” at one point going so far as to call it “Stalinism.”

On Wednesday afternoon, Limbaugh addressed the news that companies would now be required to swear to the Internal Revenue Service that they weren’t hiring or firing employees based on the impact they thought the Affordable Care Act might have on their bottom line.

“This is absolutely lawless,” Limbaugh declared. “It is against the law. (…) They cannot turn staffing decisions into crimes, and this is exactly what they’re doing. Businesses make decisions all the time on the basis of avoidance of costs here and costs there, labor costs, tax costs. They do it all the time.”

Limbaugh didn’t mince words: “This is way beyond a banana republic now. This is Stalinism.” ...

he is criticizing the POTUS and I do not like it. I dont like it because he does so in a manner that makes Christians look like paranoid fools. May I suggest SA consider an article from Charles Krauthammer or Lew Rockwell for a reasonable critique of the abuse of power taking place under this administration
He is not making Christians look any worse than they make themselves look most of the time.

Jim,liberals call criticism of government or a president demagoguery when their guy is in power and they call it patriotism when its the other guy.....not very consistent are you.

And of course nobody is saying anything about Obama trying to tell companies how to run their business.

Rush Limbaugh and his ilk have descended into demagoguery years ago, and have never came out of it. Left & Right Voices in Talk Radio & TV. Rush probably wants the Corporate State.

Strat, good point, but really, what would happen if pastors openly rebuked such things as using sodomy marriage as a bargaining tool with foreign countries or as you mentioned the elders gladly conscripting the younger generation to their wars that they know little to nothing about? 501c3 has had its way. younger pastors today self muzzle and they aren't even sure why!
Well when you have to keep up a building, put in new carpet, heating and AC,athletic facilities, sound systems, staff salaries etc etc you need the money.

Our country doesnt operate on the basis of my opinion of constitutionality. Executive Orders would need to be ruled 'unconstitutional' by the Supreme Court and then the POTUS would have to continue that behaviour to come anywhere close to validate use of this term.
IMO- Rush is abusing
1) distrust of the POTUS by his audience
2) a common faith of his audience
to make an unjustified and dangerous implication
You mean the way things have been for 6 years now, perhaps you can provide a list of Obama's EO's that have been declared unconstitutional by either the congress, senat or supreme court ?

All that needs to happen for everything Obama does to be constitutional is that nobody says it isn't....can't beat that plan...its been used before as a matter of fact.

You are entitled to your opinion as I am....IMO he is criticizing Obama and you don't like it.I suspect the country is being run closer to what you would like than you admit.

The constitution is the law, ignoring it is lawlessness so he used the correct term, other presidents have been the subject of Antichrist speculation as well.
"Unconstitutional" is a euphemism for lawlessness...it sounds better which is the most important thing for many but it means the same thing....how about antilaw ?

I object to his use of the term 'lawlessness.' He should know what his audience could perceive by that statement. I do think subverting Congress by Executive Orders is unconstitutional, but several Presidents have done so without antichrist implications.

We are born in sin, not freedom. Rush needs to understand he shouldnt play Christians by acting like William Wallace in a Mel Gibson movie. Further, for political purposes he is clearly abusing Bibles that translate Man of Sin as Man of lawlessness to further his agenda. Our salvation is sacred, and its not helpful when we support this behaviour
And the truth of what he says doesn't matter ?

But we are reborn into the law of God and His Freedom. That is worth fighting for. Tyranny is satanic.
