Thousands flock to 'weeping' Mary statue in Israel

Hundreds of people have flocked to a small town in northern Israel to view a statue of the Virgin Mary that residents say "weeps" oil.

Members of a Christian family from Tarshiha, near the Lebanon border, say they have witnessed a miracle in their living room.

Osama Khoury said Tuesday that his wife Amira found the statue "covered with oil" recently. Amira said the statue "spoke to her" and told her not to be afraid. After a neighbor witnessed the oil, word soon spread.

Yes Jim, everything you say is true, it's just that he has been corrected over and over and over again, he's so stuck in his RCC that I feel only prayer, and if it's Gods will, that will open he's eyes, not swords out every time he posts

This is pretty much where I'm at these days. After having said the same things 1000x over, there's just nothing new to add because he's stuck on a verse along with support from family members and Luther writings. I can't say I won't keep plugging away, but you're right, prayer is what's needed more than anything else that just falls upon deaf ears.

How long will Catholics continue to look to Mary and lifeless relics for consolation? Mary did not die for our sins at the cross, and, was/is not the sinless Lamb of God — we also know through the Scriptures that Mary had marital relations with Joseph (after Jesus was born) and had further sons and daughters. Therefore she does not have, 'perpetual virginity'! The worship of Mary is making her into a god, and is idolatry. The real Mary mother of Jesus our Christ would not have consented to being worshipped, and had said unto the servants at the wedding in Cana of Galilee: "[W]hatsoever [Jesus] says unto you, do it" (John 2:5).

Cliff, damp statues seem to more common than you thought. Here's one that did this Mary statue one better, Another bleeding Statue

Poor John, John Y., is impervious to any correction, his refusal to live a Life That Is Pleasing to God needs to be pointed out to other people, even to ourselves at times, and realize that Christ is not only Savior, but also Lord, Lordship Salvation: What Must a True Believer, Believe?. It never hurts for even Christians to be reminded of this let alone Catholics, Should Roman Catholicism really be classified as a Christian religion? -- No.

time to shed all idolatry.

as Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, a time has come when they will worship Him in Spirit and Truth. The temple of the Holy Spirit is now mobile, and wherever two or more are gathered in His name, He is there!

1 Cor. 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

18 Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

Rev.11:And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two

Why do people keep picking on John Yurick! Now, we all know what his beliefs are and many have tried to correct him so if you are so worried about him please pray for him rather than putting him down all the time, he seems to be a gentle person, sometime kind words work better than throwing darts.

Hi Dorcas, the comment you made is pretty much what I was stopping by to say. I feel it's just another trick though, a human trick. I think it was John Paul II, the most Marian Pope and the one who revived her worship, who said that we know Christ's return is near because of the increase in Marian apparitions. I can picture all of the faithful who are able around the globe buying plane tickets as I type to see the Miracle and I'm certain Mary will be having much more to say and drawing people unto herself. Tragic. What deception this system has crafted; fatal deception that is followed blindly simply because of wealth, pomp, and a man who claims that he is from God above and cannot err.
