Thousands flock to 'weeping' Mary statue in Israel

Hundreds of people have flocked to a small town in northern Israel to view a statue of the Virgin Mary that residents say "weeps" oil.

Members of a Christian family from Tarshiha, near the Lebanon border, say they have witnessed a miracle in their living room.

Osama Khoury said Tuesday that his wife Amira found the statue "covered with oil" recently. Amira said the statue "spoke to her" and told her not to be afraid. After a neighbor witnessed the oil, word soon spread.

Yes Jim, everything you say is true, it's just that he has been corrected over and over and over again, he's so stuck in his RCC that I feel only prayer, and if it's Gods will, that will open he's eyes, not swords out every time he posts

This is pretty much where I'm at these days. After having said the same things 1000x over, there's just nothing new to add because he's stuck on a verse along with support from family members and Luther writings. I can't say I won't keep plugging away, but you're right, prayer is what's needed more than anything else that just falls upon deaf ears.

Cliff, damp statues seem to more common than you thought. Here's one that did this Mary statue one better, Another bleeding Statue

Poor John, John Y., is impervious to any correction, his refusal to live a Life That Is Pleasing to God needs to be pointed out to other people, even to ourselves at times, and realize that Christ is not only Savior, but also Lord, Lordship Salvation: What Must a True Believer, Believe?. It never hurts for even Christians to be reminded of this let alone Catholics, Should Roman Catholicism really be classified as a Christian religion? -- No.

Why do people keep picking on John Yurick! Now, we all know what his beliefs are and many have tried to correct him so if you are so worried about him please pray for him rather than putting him down all the time, he seems to be a gentle person, sometime kind words work better than throwing darts.

Hi Dorcas, the comment you made is pretty much what I was stopping by to say. I feel it's just another trick though, a human trick. I think it was John Paul II, the most Marian Pope and the one who revived her worship, who said that we know Christ's return is near because of the increase in Marian apparitions. I can picture all of the faithful who are able around the globe buying plane tickets as I type to see the Miracle and I'm certain Mary will be having much more to say and drawing people unto herself. Tragic. What deception this system has crafted; fatal deception that is followed blindly simply because of wealth, pomp, and a man who claims that he is from God above and cannot err.
