‘Like a Cow’: The Gruesome Way a Muslim Mob Murdered a Christian Man in Africa
Sectarian violence continues to rage in the Central African Republic, with residents increasingly falling victim to deadly, faith-based attacks. In the latest example, Polin Pumandele, a Christian, was lynched Sunday by Islamic radicals.

Pumandele, 23, was carrying wood through a Muslim area when he was approached by a mob and attacked, according to a Washington Post reporter who witnessed the murder. After being thrown in a ditch and stabbed, attackers cut his throat.

It wasn’t until Pumandele’s body was carried in a wheelbarrow past Burundian peacekeepers — United Nations-sanctioned forces who are in the region to try and temper sectarian violence — that officials became aware of the killing. ...

Just read through the comments again and I appreciate your taking the time, Dopey. I guess I should have added that when I speak of ignoring anyone, cutting them off, etc, it's a last resort when I feel they are a true enemy of God and an instrument of Satan who is willfully and consciously trying to confuse and divide. I won't name more names but I do pray for these, though I try not to engage them in conversation any longer because they have proven over and over that they are not capable or even interested in intelligent, rational chat. I think most here will agree that I repeat myself ad nauseum with some with the hope that someday, something will click within some minds that are now so rigid.

Dopey, thanks for the lengthy and straight response. I still don't know a whole lot aside from the basics so it's helpful to have things laid out because I don't even know how to begin answering some questions. First of all, I agree fully with your comments. Let.me digress to the post that began it all...I was making an observation, but never meant that I or anyone should leave even those who are difficult by the wayside. When I said ignore, I guess I.meant to ignore the negative while continuing to hit with the positive. Like you, I don't give up, no matter how long it takes or no matter how anyone may have spoken to me. Two examples are John Yurich and Steve R who has ridden me for a long time. I have never shut either out. I believe in plugging away, no matter what, because I never know how Christ may be working on a person's heart, no matter how nasty they may seem at the moment and prayer is our most effective weapon to build the positive and destroy the negative. I agree with your comments and thanks for explaining...

Chris, this obviously is a continuation of my response to you at 2/14/14 10:26 AM
...
There are principles of success for dealing with extremely difficult people in the passage referred to [Matthew 17:14-21]:
1. Speak the word of God for that is what Jesus did.
2. Be filled with the Spirit of God for Jesus was.
3. Pray for Jesus advises what He himself did on earth.
4. Fast for Jesus advises what He himself did on earth.
5. Jesus was in no big hurry to dismiss a difficult person who caused problems for himself and others thus neither should we.

The principles I just listed are subject to this passage:

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
(2 Thessalonians 2:11-12)

You will meet two kinds of difficult to deal with people in this world. People who can't be helped because God has determined to make sure they end up in hell and people who God will yet rescue. But those two kinds don't wear tags identifying: "going to hell for sure", "will in fact be yet rescued by God". So, one should work with difficult to work with people until God indicates one should stop, no matter how frustrated one gets.

God: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Matthew 7:7
God: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 1 Timothy 2:15

Chris, consider things from the Passage in Matthew 17:14-21:

In verse 15 there is a person who has been assessed a "lunatic", and "sore vexed":. The person is further described as displaying conduct in which he opposes himself: "ofttimes he falleth into the fire", "and oft into the water".

Christ's disciples tried to do something for the unfortunate person but the record is:

"And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him."

In verse 18 we read "And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him:" and in verse 21 The Lord states
"Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting"

There are principles of success for dealing with extremely difficult people in the passage referred to:

1. Speak the word of God for that is what Jesus did.
2. Be filled with the Spirit of God for Jesus was.

Hi Dopey, aside from eating more fish, I really can't think of any remedies. I think our thoughts are focused on two different groups; those true Christian who mispeak, but recognize, repent, and ask for public forgiveness, and those who call themselves true Christians but never cease to judge, condemn, verbally abuse, backstab, accuse, say terrible, undeserved things, continually focus on and support Godless people/groups/things, etc, etc. The latter is the focus of my comment.
Aside from ignoring and praying for such as these who just seem to hate and and have no recognizable light, I see no remedy that can come from my end. The only remedy, to me, is their recognizing their own broken spirit that only Christ can repair and make new.

But he [Jesus] turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Chris, Godly people can be extremely foolish in what they say sometimes, even going so far as to be nothing more than a mouth piece for Satan. What do you suggest as a remedy for such people?

Don't misunderstand Dopey, I.can be just as bad if not worse than many. I was a new Christian coming onto the board and that's where my thoughts revert back to. No, I'm not excluded from error but my comments are not focused on those who mispeak at times, but rather, those who don't seem to be able to have a conversation without inciting verbal violence, name calling, being confrontational, judging, condemning, etc, etc. This isn't about myself or anyone else not having faults, its about those who claim to be born again Christians having online person as that tell a much different story.

When I first came to this site, I remember how shocked I was that born again Christians even argue. As time went on, I saw more and more people, people who claimed to be born again by inference popping in and out saying terrible things. Even today, these same people, along with new ones, unless it's only a few with many names, call out, judge harshly, call names, and condemn, all the while believing that they, themselves are born again Christians who are set apart from everyone else here. I find it to be a real head scratcher when such dark souls are so deceived that they actually believe they are the chosen all the while acting no different than those the Bible clearly warns of and condemns.
Christopher000 Are you "shocked" about your own faults? :

Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:
(Genesis 41:9)

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
(James 5:16)

Why do we not see this on the megalomaniac networks e. g. CBS, NBC, and ABC? What is their fear? Do they believe that the Muslims will give them freedom of the press after the take over? Or is this question too late? Fools and slow of heart to believe. . .

12 A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
13 He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
14 Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.
