Sugar-powered batteries could be the future

Currently, lithium-ion batteries are the go-to for all technological needs, but they could soon fall by the wayside with news of a sugar-powered battery which lasts 10 times as long.

Researchers at Virginia Tech have developed a new battery that runs on glucose, as reported by CNET. Research findings can be found in the Jan. 21 edition of the journal Nature Communications.

While sugar can easily be converted to energy in living beings, it doesn't interact as well with non-biological ones. The researchers used 13 tailor-made enzymes to bond with air and maltodextrin glucose to create water and electricity. ...

John "why Russia and its coalition would want to attack the new Israel" is an important point in any exposition of Ezekiel 38 and 39.

Modern expositors who believe Ezekiel 38, 39 refer to a post 1948 attack of Israel, by Russia and her allies, have numerous reasons for the attack which have the perspective of modern day geopolitics. However, the best answer to "why" in my view is given by God in Ezekiel 38:4

"And I [God] will turn thee [Gog] back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:"

"for this [Ezkiel 38:4] is not to be understood of God's putting hooks into his [Gog's] jaws, and leading him back from his [Gog's] enterprise of invading the land of Judea;" but rather "of his [God] using him [Gog] thus in his [God's] providence to draw him [Gog] to the land of Israel, out of his [Gog's] own land," -- John Gill (Nov 23, 1697-Oct 14, 1771) "an English Baptist, a biblical scholar"

That's okay bro, I don't mind waiting, however I do not regard it as a detour to ask why Russia and its coalition would want to attack the new Israel, rather I see it as a most important point, because if this prophesy is what Bishop Lowther claims it is, and I do not yet know whether it is or not, it would seem to me that maybe a dispensational viewpoint is called for, which viewpoint I am personally not acquainted with, thus seeking to find out more about it, and thus trying to get to grips with it, that I may learn something which will help regarding the approaching endtimes and the current news from around the world, which of course will necessarily be involved with this, and I would not want to be ignorant but aware of what God has said, especially in the prophetic scriptures of which I am most unlearned and have not a clue beyond the basics, and I hope you understand and one day feel able to answer.

The finish of point 3.

Many prophetic Bible commentators put 1948 A.D. in relationship to the events of 70 A.D. and the Roman capture of Jerusalem, and I don't have a problem with that. But in my view, they would be more precise if they talked about a 2,670 year exile of a geographical state called Israel, for that is what actually happened.

Ezekiel 38 and 39 refer 18 times to a yet future attack of Israel by Russia and a coalition of Russia's allies.

9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
(Isaiah 46:9-10)

P.S.

John I will deal with your question later, but I am not sure when. I am trying to go in a relative straight line and deal with detours at the appropriate time. And please don't take that as asking for no detours for it's not but rather I am trusting God for the appropriate time to answer any questions.

Thanks for the stats bro. Did Bishop Lowth give a reason for Russia attacking Israel?

1. In Ezekiel 38 and 39 an attack of Israel in referred to 18 times. The attack referred to is by an extremely powerful nation and coalition of that nation's allies.

2. That Ezekiel 38 and 39 refer to a future attack of Israel by Russia was preached in the 1700's by Bishop Lowth of London England, (b. 1710 d. 1787). Bishop Lowth must have been quite a laughing stock in the eyes of some. When Lowth preached about Russia attacking Israel Russia was not a major power and there was no geographical nation called Israel since
722 B. C.

Note: I just discovered that my link for Russia is not functioning. It was functioning for the last three days, so I will eventually get a link that reveals what I state
about 722 B. C. unless any one cares to do it for me.

Are they good? One person's taste buds are not necessarily another person's taste buds thus you will actually have to let your taste buds make up their own minds.

Adding peanut butter cookies to the mix sounds like a good idea, especially if a person has a, "hopeless addiction to peanut butter".

What I'm looking forward to having, possible next week in the prophecy room, are Prophecy Cookies. According to the instructions for the Prophecy Cookies, one should, "Write or print out Scripture verses that pertain to prophecy on strips of paper no more than 4 inches long and a half inch wide (see below for suggestions)." then "Preheat oven to 400F."

That's the spirit TeenChristian.

Since you stated in a previous post in this thread that you use a snickers bar as part of your sugar batteries you might want to bake up some Snickerdoodles for the gang.

Snow White dropped into another thread I was in yesterday to announce that she liked to bake and she thanked me for bringing Snickerdoodles to her attention. Maybe you and Snow White can handle baking up a great big batch of Snickerdoodles for the gang.

Perhaps we can even find some people to bake up some Pumpkin Snickerdoodle Muffin Cookies for a meeting in the prophecy room, probably next week.

Someone sent me a whole bunch of invitations to the prophecy room and I will eventually, Lord willing, get around to handing them out.

In the name of scientific study, I would suggest that we create a sample group of sugar powered batteries to include (and this is just my humble opinion - albeit, a very pregnant, "I want my chocolate way" and "don't get between me and my chocolate" opinions): in addition to Snickerdoodles, ginger snaps, extra chocolate chunk chocolate chip cookies and maybe a Kolachy (ya know, for the "healthy" sugar powered battery desirous people). Hey... This could work!!

Anne, I don't know if they tried it in Switzerland or Germany in the early 80's and had a problem. Perhaps, someone who knows will be kind enough to answer your question.

Anne, having an extremely scientific mind
I was thinking of doing an experiment involving Sugar-powered batteries. How is your baking ability? Are you up to baking up a massive amount of Snickerdoodles for a large group of hungry Christians?
