Obama Administration Extends Same-sex Marriage Rights
The federal government will soon treat married same-sex couples the same as heterosexual couples when they file for bankruptcy, testify in court or visit family in prison.

Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. was preparing to issue policies aimed at eliminating the distinction between same-sex and opposite-sex married couples in the federal criminal justice system, according to excerpts from a speech prepared for a Saturday event organized by a prominent gay-rights group.

“In every courthouse, in every proceeding and in every place where a member of the Department of Justice stands on behalf of the United States, they will strive to ensure that same-sex marriages receive the same privileges, protections and rights as opposite-sex marriages,” Mr. Holder’s prepared remarks said, according to the excerpts circulated by the Justice Department. ...

Why I know more than you do? Well, let's see now; perhaps you don't study well, maybe you ain't suited, maybe you don't know how to read etc.

Problem Presbys have is that they only know the bible second hand and you all read your books through your own theological presuppositions and so only see what you want to see. Which is why you don't see what's plain before your eyes!

Brother UpS,

What a wonderful post.

Luke 6:45

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

And sometimes God will use a man to chasten a believer by hitting him or her with a rod of correction on the back.

CAB, only knows the precept of men instead on the work of the Spirit in the heart. She understands not that in our Lord's presence there is fullness of joy and pleasures forever more. She only sees a cruel taskmaster who has no use for those He has saved except to make their life one of drudgery and dread. She thinks that which God paid so dearly to secure is but a thing of naught, easy come easy go. She tramples underfoot the precious blood of Christ with her doctrinal errors.

Forgive the extra lengthy post but we can only hope that she too will be found in God not having her own righteousness but that which is given by God to all that call upon, the righteousness of Him who knew no sin but became our sin substitute that we might have the righteous of God imputed on our behalf. The only righteousness that will take you to heaven.

May He see in us somewhat of the travail of His soul and may we humbly exclaim, Hallelujah what a Savior!!

it is a debt of LOVE to the One who loved me and gave Himself for me. The love of Christ constrains us. It is the fact that though I still, sadly, sin against my Lord, there is always a fountain filled with blood to wash away my sin. This love of God is a holy motivation to strive against sin, to so kill it that it carries no root nor fruit in my life. It fills us with the desire not only to confess that awful sin that broke our fellowship with the One who is altogether lovely, it gives impetuous to forsake it. It teaches me my own frailness and makes me more and more dependent upon the grace of the Lord to fight a daily battle against the world, the flesh and devil. It is a grace that teaches me to deny ungodliness and worldly lust and live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world. Who can keep such a great truth to themselves, are we not motivated to share with others the gospel? Do we not cherish the special time of blessed fellowship we enjoy with our Lord in prayer and in time in His Word? Yes, Christianity is a relationship with God Himself who has promised never to leave us or forsake us. This is that which CAB sadly has no understanding...

suffering the wrath of God that they should face, and what is this, although He agonized in prayer over this cup to point of great drops of blood coming from His forehead and falling to the ground. He, knowing all that He was to suffer, all the sins that His people would woefully commit, still willing took that cup. (Hallelujah!!) FOR MY SINS He was beaten, spit upon, mocked, had His backed opened with cruel lashings, a crown of thorns forced into his forehead, and was nailed to a cruel cross. In the crowd silencing darkness God poured out the wrath that I was supposed to take upon my precious Lord to the point where He cried that awful cry of dereliction My God, My God why have You forsaken me? But what is this, before He gave up the ghost, He cried out IT IS FINISHED!!! Hallelujah MY redemption was paid for IN FULL!!! He conquered that final enemy of death three days later and now ever lives in heaven interceding on my behalf. What grace is this??? What infinite love that I can enjoy fellowship with the infinitely holy God because my black sins have been washed white in the precious blood of Christ. THERE IS MY MOTIVATION, it is not the fear of dread (although that has a place) it is the godly fear of reverence, ...

Please note CAB has NOT come up with ANY proof for her FALSE assertions.

CAB has NO understanding of real Christianity. Her "god" is one of a cruel taskmaster ready to zap His children to hell for the slightest misstep. We read in II Corinthians 7 an exhortation to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit in the fear of God. What was the motivation. God himself promised to be our Father and dwell among us and walk with us. What the creator of the ends of the universe, God Almighty who is glorious in holiness would deign to dwell with such a group of publicans and sinners as ourselves?? He LOVED us to the end, He called from the path of destruction and gave us eternal life so the we shall NEVER perish?? He uses His power to keep us. He quickened us and opened our eyes to the glorious gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ when we only deserved damnation and death. Look at the depth of His love, He sent His only begotten Son to come and live among the fallen of the earth. See, our Lord tempted in all points as we, yet without sin. He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. See Him as in His humanity He struggles with the cup of the sin of His people and the prospect of taking their hell, ...

You're not one for close study. Generalities are enough for your immature mind.

CAB wrote:
In James, the sick call for the elders to anoint w/ OIL and pray for healing, also represents Holy Spirit.
What utter drivel. This person was bed-ridden by sickness and the oil was a practical measure to prevent bed sores. Duh!

CAB wrote:
Lamp oil BURNS, and we're told to let our LIGHT so shine before men, not to "hide our light" etc.
Our lamplight is God living thru us, the Holy Spirit.
NOBODY disputes the oil represents the Holy Spirit.
More drivel and reading into the passage what is not there. Do you really want me to list every commentator who does not see oil as the Holy Spirit? In fact to out your LIE I just need to point to one, because you say NOBODY disputes it! Try Benjamin Keach, John MacArthur, Albert Barnes, Matthew Henry, Jamieson Fausset Brown etc.

Any more LIES you want to bring forward in support of your erroneous views?

You truly are a shameless reprobate.

The American people need to realize that Obama and Holder are criminals deliberately seeking to overthrow our American system of government which is based on the recognition of natural law ("the laws of nature and nature's God") and natural rights (God-given "unalienable" rights) as the foundation of our legal code. By trying to pass legislation that relentlessly attacks and nullifies the 'natural law' basis of our civil laws-- for example, by inventing absurd, arbitrary, man-made distinctions between 'opposite-sex marriage' and 'same-sex marriage'-- they are simply trampling on and deliberately seeking to decimate our American form of government, and above all, our Judeo-Christian culture and the moral values enshrined in our legal code. They are lawless criminals, and the people of the United States should recognize them as such and appeal to state and local officials to lead the way in resisting their tyranny by nullifying any and all rulings of the federal court that aim at destroying state sovereignty and the moral foundation of our civil code. No American should be forced to regard the sexual jerry-rigging of two men or two women as a true 'sexual union' or the monstrous sin of sodomy as constituting a legitimate legal basis for marriage.

This statement by "Not the Worst" is a strawman. A gross misrepresentation of Presbyterian teaching. They do not teach that believing parents give their kids a free pass. They teach that believing parents sanctify their children, which is true. Believing parents are a means of grace. Reformed theology has never taught that the unbeliving (unregenerate) receive salvation by the works of their parents.
You clearly don't understand your own standards, or have never read Calvin on this issue. Nothing new in that.
