Christian college drops 'Crusaders' nickname in bow to 'global society'

A Christian college in Wisconsin is dropping its “Crusaders” nickname after nearly 50 years, claiming the moniker has become outdated in a “more global society,” university officials told FoxNews.com.

Yes, Wargle, I'm glad it changed also. just a holdover from really bad times in America. However, we never have had much of a racial divide where i'm from. Everyone just got along fine!!!

Good. Glad it got changed. I bet non-whites feel a lot more welcome there nowadays.

Same thing happened to the Christian HS I attended back in the 1970s. A few years back they changed their mascot from Crusaders to Warriors. More generic means less offensive, I guess.

Really doesn't seem like an appropriate name considering the crusaders were not really Christians except in name. Maybe they should have thought that out when they started the college. (now university)

Hmm, that's funny. I'm probably attending a small Christian college next year who are called the crusaders. I see nothing wrong with it.

Its not so much the name change that matters, but the belly crawling, appeasing and groveling attitude, and one can be sure that the name change is either a reflection of other changes that have already taken place or are about to.

Ibrahim is happy,i'm sure he is as are most Muslims when they realize the gutless cowardice of their competition for the hearts and souls of men.
