Churches Cancel, Move Services for Super Bowl Sunday
"We know the game is important so we're moving the service times to better fit your schedule," says the megachurch, which canceled Saturday night services at four locations and won't have night services at all on Sunday. "This will allow us to reach more people that week and give you more opportunities to invite your friends and family," it adds.

The North Point Community megachurch in Atlanta, Ga., has also canceled its 6.30 p.m. Sunday service to let the congregation watch the Seahawks take on the Denver Broncos. "Enjoy the Super Bowl," says its website alongside the cancelation notice. ...

Something else to consider, not withstanding my support for bi-lingual Bibles, which should transcend national interests, I am usually an English first supporter, but Coke has more than that to answer for! http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/02/02/Why-Coca-Cola-America-The-Beautiful-Ad-Was-Offensive

Super Bowl Sunday is no longer innocent fun and hasn't been for years. The undiscerning christian might still think so. It is really sickening to watch so many people who call themselves Christian join in this idolatry, and on The Lord's Day at that! This is just another reminder of how low American Christianity has fallen. Is there a remnant left who have not bowed to Baal? Very sadly it's well nigh heresy nowadays to call into question christian involvement in professional sports.

Amen!!! There is still a remnant of us out there who have not & will not bow down even if they throw us in the burning furnace. God will watch over us & save us from His wrath. Just stand firm in what we have believed in & hold fast to His promises. God bless you.

Yes, stand firm and do not be afraid, for you will not be thrown into the furnace for not watching a game.

The only part of pop culture that modern American Christianity questions it's involvement in is Music,go to youtube and type in "demonic" Christian music and you will see tons of videos made by "experts" who claim that "scientific" evidence has proven that any music other than that made by Mozart or elderly blues haired ladies at the Piano is of the Devil, yet it's open season on anything else.
