Catholic and Pentecostal clergy, church members worship together
About 500 people packed the sanctuary of Evangel Temple Wednesday night for an ecumenical, or inter-denominational,worship service.

Priests from local Catholic churches and pastors from local Pentecostal churches prayed and sang hymns together under one roof. Traditions from both denominations were represented in the worship, responsive scripture reading and the homily message.

“It was a very historical evening,” Charles Arsenault, pastor of Evangel Temple, said. “We’re concentrating on our likenesses rather than our differences.”

Local meetings of the Roman Catholic-Pentecostal Dialogue have taken place since the 1970s, but Wednesday night’s service was the first time the group met publicly. It’s part of an international dialogue with the goal of unity. ...

The Roman system adds Mary's name to everything I mentioned and so much more than I have room for. Mary is the Queen of Heaven and Christ, her subservient son, must fulfill her pleas. Christ must be literally resacrificed each week in the mass because His once and for all sacrifice on the cross wasn't sufficient to forgive all future sin. The Roman Catholic Christ can be ordered out from Heaven up to 200, 000x/day by priests and ordered into a wafer that is then worshipped. The Roman Catholic Christ is forever weak and immaciated, while the mother of God, the Queen of Heaven, is always vibrant and drawing people unto herself.
The same Christ? Just words on a piece of paper.

My thoughts are not easy for me to put into a few words.

Basically: Today the AOG tomorrow, although IMHO there will be descenters, a remnent that will not go along

Then not all that far behind Presbyterians (yes, Reformed/Calvinistic however you want to describe it) after all don't Catholics and Presbyterians, and a heap of others too "venerate" Augustine, C.S. Lewis, and even sometimes Rick Warren, and again there will be descenters who will be maligned as intolerant, unloving, biggoted whatever.

So, and it is a big "so" for the "remnent" this is a time to humble ourselves and pray and seek the face of God that He might show there is a difference in Truth and a lie (in this case ecumenism), that He is Holy and requires genuine Biblical Holiness, separation from sin, the world, from false teachings and teachers for those He calls to belong to and faithfully serve Christ.

The Indian Hills Community Church Statement of Faith is similar to the Statement of Faith of First Church of God of Tulare, California where my Nephew and Niece In-Law attend. First Church of God of Tulare, California Statement of Faith states that salvation comes only through embracing Jesus as ones Savior and trusting in Him alone for salvation. My Born Again Non Denominational brother accepts that I am Born Again and saved because I trust in Jesus alone for salvation. Since church attendance is totally superfluous to ones gaining entrance into Heaven upon ones demise then stating that one has to repent of attending the Catholic Church in order to gain entrance into Heaven is totally unscriptural. If one trusts in Jesus alone for salvation then they are saved regardless if they attend the Catholic Church.

John Y., look up Indian Hills Community Church Statement of Faith. The Charismatics' Role in Ecumenism one can see perhaps an unexpected bad influence of Charismatic Chaos. Christian and Catholics -- never together!, but it isn't surprising non-Christians and Catholics are.

John Y., it has now been pointed out to you A Close Look at Invitations and Altar Calls -- Carey Hardy, that just saying you have accepted Christ, and have not repented of going to an apostate church, means you have Satan in your heart and not Christ. If you were Christian and being exposed to as much truth as you have, you would Come Out Of The Catholic Church. So, you are not a Christian, John Y.

Get them out of the Pentecostal cult quickly John. And whilst your at it get yourself to a real Biblical church and out of the clutches of the papal antichrist.
Look up the website for First Church of God of Tulare, California where my Nephew and Niece In-Law attend and look up the Statement of Faith and it states they teach the biblical doctrine of salvation that salvation comes only through trusting in Jesus alone for salvation. So First Church of God of Tulare, California is a Bible believing church.

Remember the warning the Bible gives about Roman Catholic and Pentecostal heresy... Look how God joins them to Sodom and Gomorrah ...
2Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

The local papal antichrist followers and the all singing, all dancing, holy rollers and their weird shouting moaning and waving..... Get together for ????? idolatry and noise????
No problem!!!
My Nephew and Niece In-Law from Tulare, California who are Pentecostal who attend First Church of God of Tulare, California would not appreciate you stating they are involved in idolatry when they worship Jesus as God. My Nephew and Niece In-Law from Tulare, California are better Christians then you and some of the other Evangelical Protestants on here.

That is totally false that Catholics worship a false jesus. The Creed states "We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God"(The biblical and historical Jesus). And it is false that Pentecostals worship a false jesus. Pentecostals worship the biblical and historical Jesus. I ought to know because I have a Nephew and Niece In-Law from Tulare, California who are Pentecostal and they attend First Church of God of Tulare, California and they worship the biblical and historical Jesus. They are better Christians then you and some of the other Protestants on here.
