Rand Paul Is the 2016 Republican Frontrunner

If Chris Christie was ever the frontrunner for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, he isn’t anymore. All along, the theory behind his candidacy was that he could overcome his lack of conservative bona fides with a combination of personality, competence, electability, and money. Bridgegate undermines all four.

In the minds of many voters, Christie’s personality has morphed from brash to bully. It’s harder to look competent when your top aides egregiously abused power under your nose. Christie’s supposed electability was based partly on polls showing that he was the only potential Republican nominee running even with Hillary Clinton. But Marist and Quinnipiac, whose surveys showed Clinton and Christie virtually tied in December, now show him trailing her by 13 and 8 points, respectively. The electability argument also depended on Christie’s supposed success in bringing New Jerseyans together ...

John Y. needs to become a Christian and follower of Christ. You need to get Satan out of your heart, John Y.

?"He is a godsend for the tea party‚ÄĒthe presentable leader the movement kept trying to find during the 2012 Republican freak show but never did. Next to Paul, that parade of hotheads, with their overweening Obama hatred and their dog whistles to racists, nativists, and homophobes, looks like a relic from a passing era. For that matter, he may prove equally capable of making the two top Democratic presidential prospects for 2016, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, look like a nostalgia act." excerpt from It's Hard to Hate Rand Paul

You would not pay attention to the sermon? You mean like you presently do in your RC church? WHY are you even bothering to attend then??? And don't you realize that the MAIN purpose and focus of worship is indeed hearing THE WORD? What do you do during the RC mass ... stare at the pretty stained glass windows with cotton in your ears oblivious to all that's going on there?

Hi John, why wouldn't you pay attention to the sermon? Say you were to sit down and write out everything you have to avoid, not pay attention to, plug your ears to, etc while attending mass. You would do a lot of writing wouldn't you? This is what people just don't understand. You know how much is wrong in your spirit, and so wrong that you pretend what's happening, isn't, yet you get angry when we speak out against the church, you angerly refer to us as "all you evangelical protestants", etc.
The point is never about attending any particular church, its about attending a church where you don't have to do any pretending or be afraid to tell the priest/pastor where you stand spiritually, etc. The Bible should be our guide...not Luther, not a brother, not any mere man, but the Word of God. Anything other will be unacceptable.

Then the men said to Lot, "Have you anyone else here? Son in law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city - take them out of this place!"
"For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it."
So Lot went out and spoke to his sons in law who had married his daughters and said "Get up, get out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city!" But to his sons in law he seemed to be joking.
When the morning dawned the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying, "Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of the city." Genesis 19.

I would hate John Y to remain ignorant of the excellent news. Pope Francis released two white doves in front of thousands of spectators in Rome the other day.

One was attacked by a seagull, the other a crow.

My question is: Were these doves participating fully in the Mass?

The words, truth in reporting, have an antonym, it is called the New York Times.

Their motto, All the views that is fit to print.(of course they accomplish just the opposite, they should stop wasting ink, paper and digital space)

really if you don't pay attention John Y, how do you know what he says? (You know it might could have changed so you can't say you know it from 20 years ago) Honestly, most people who make an effort to NOT pay attention to something, end up with the opposite result because their decision to NOT pay attention focuses their mind on the thing they are trying to ignore.

It's illogical and psychotic that you should continue to attend a weekly ceremony (the Roman Catholic "mass") in which MAJOR portions conflict with your inner beliefs and convictions. Not only do you attend such a debauchery, but you also support it through your financial contributions when they pass the basket!
BTW, John Y, have you heard THE GOSPEL lately at the mass? You know, I sat under the preaching of Roman Catholism for all of my early life and not ONCE did I hear the true Gospel! Instead, I heard about all the RC hoops I had to jump through in order to EARN salvation. THAT'S what you hear at mass, and THAT'S what you support!

Where do you get that nonsense from that my attendance at Mass is a silent and tacit assent and agreement of the unscriptural parts to the Mass? If I refrain from stating the few unscriptural sentences, don't believe that the Mass is a sacrifice, don't pay attention to when the priest mentions the intercession of the Virgin Mary and the Saints, don't state "Amen" when I am handed the bread and the cup of wine then I am not participating in the unscriptural parts to the Mass pure and simple. That is logic.

It's not logical to do avoid Catholic participation in the Mass, deny Catholic teaching about it, and still call yourself Catholic. You play mind games with yourself, JY.

The same is true of most Catholics. They are Catholic because they were born Catholic. They remain Catholic because they ‚Äúlike it.‚ÄĚ Unconcerned about doctrine, they pass through life without ever having seriously questioned the veracity of the institution to which they have entrusted their eternal souls.

Excellent post, and right on. Most Roman Catholics are just that fkr the sole reason that they were born into it, rarely knowing what the Word of God even says, but rather, trusting in a Pope and a church for their tickets into heaven. Amazing how we will exhaustively research a new car, TV, etc, etc before purchasing, but never do our due diligence, or even show any concern when it comes to our eternal souls. Crazy how so many listen to whatever comes from the mouths of mere men but couldn't care less what God Himself has to say about it all.

I like these articles, Mike of N.Y. all they had to do was to tell the truth. the NYTimes article from a John Bircher's perspective would no doubt say, this was an excellent advertisement for Randy, and I don't really remember anything that might be consider negative in the Atlantic's article either, that a supporter of his would find offensive.
Quote from the NYT article,"He has renounced many of the isolationist tenets central to libertarianism, backed away from his longstanding objections to parts of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and teamed with members of the Congressional Black Caucus in calling for an easing of drug-sentencing laws...." I don't support easing up on drugs. Ah, another quote, probably something true from Cruz "... And Senator Ted Cruz of Texas told donors in New York that in a national campaign Mr. Paul could not escape Ron Paul’s ideological history."

So what is makes them wackos to you? What is it they have said that you disagree with so much that they desrerve the label?
