State bill makes abortion 'class 3 felony'
In a move that has stunned abortion-rights advocates who pushed through a repeal of state criminal penalties last year, Colorado lawmakers have proposed a bill that ‚Äúprohibits abortion and makes a violation a class 3 felony.‚ÄĚ

HB 1133, sponsored by Republican Steve Humphrey of Severance, Colo., is a response to a move last year that critics said would make the state friendly to abortionists like Kermit Gosnell. The Philadelphia abortionist was convicted of killing infants after they had been born, mostly by using a scissors to snip their spinal cords.

Led by a Democrat-majority legislature, Democrat governor and Barack Obama’s agenda, the state surged left on several issues, including abortion. Last year, Democrats passed a bill supported by Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, repealed criminal abortion statutes. ...

I just wish those who support abortion had the guts to both admit what it is and admit they support it without all the double talk and euphemistic language....and please spare us all the Violin stroking about what a "tough" decision it is and what a "victim" the woman is,and how those who speak out against abortion have no right to do so because they are not lining up to relieve bed bouncers of their responsabilities.....and the "rape and incest" nonsense, rape and incest account for about 0.1 percent of all abortions.

Abortion is an institution and practise of a nation and its people on its way to Hell.

Judge not lest they be judged!
No grandparents who would love their grandchild? No aunts, uncles who would help? Birthright and pregnancy counselling places to give shelter, food, baby needs? Adoption?

And you can breast-feed, which is the right thing to do anyway. Welfare is there to pay for everything to single mothers, if they want to get on the gravy train.

This rationale makes no sense. Most abortions are done because people don't want to take responsibility for a baby they don't want, to lose their figure, to face the shame and embarassment, just all of it. It's understandable, but the answer is not abortion, and you must repent, not defend what you did.

Abortion is a blood sacrifice to Satan and one reason why we are ruled by evil men; and why our country is pretty much cooked, waiting for terrible judgment to imminently fall.

Hello Sandi...you have been given very sound advice by many of the gentlemen on this board.I might add if you could find a crisis pregnancy center in your town they usually have very loving and caring people who also council those that have had abortions. They are biblically based and would use the Bible to show you of your need of forgiveness through the Lord Jesus Christ!
I will pray for you Sandi!

Sandi,

Strat was correct in his assessment and Chris was correct in the remedy. You need to stop mitigating what you did by describing your circumstances that caused you to do it. David was a murderer, Moses was a murderer and the Apostle Paul was also a murderer. And as we know they certainly were forgiven by the Lord. Christ’s death on the cross paid for all of your sins, past, present and future if you will simply repent of all of your sins and receive His forgiveness, then all is forgotten.

Psalms 103:12 says As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Anyway, I don’t have the time right now to spell this out better. If you repent and come to the cross trusting totally and completely in what Christ has done for you, then you will receive a new nature from above. And, it is my personal opinion that your aborted baby will be waiting for you in heaven.

Hi Sandi, Strat is right...nobody was, or would for that matter, judging. Abortion is wrong, and is murder, and it is our duty to speak out against it. None of us are without serious sin before being saved in one manner or another. Abortion is wrong no matter how one tries to argues it, and wrong for any reason. You didn't know what you know now, would never even consider it now, are. grieved to this day by what you did when young, and that's what matters. Thank God He died for ALL of our sins...past, present, and future. I am a firm believer that not only does life begin at conception, but the real "us", our spirits, or souls as some prefer, are placed within (or grow by some miracle) at the same moment. I believe that we are a complete package at conception so the murdered children are taken into paradise, not thrown out and forgotten.

So anyone who is not willing to support a child that you and a man made to relieve you of your responsibility so you can "get on with your life" has no right to say that abortion is wrong ?

Saying abortion is murder is not judging,it is stating a fact and it carries with it no responsibility to bear the consequences of someone else's sin so they can go on making babies which I assume since you included "child care" in your list of OTHER people's responsabilities towards you.

The accomplishments of feminism are indeed impressive,a woman can commit murder and wag her finger at others in judgement for not cleaning up the mess...amazing.

I use them, Frank, because if the Wikipedia article is true, some of these Crisis pregnancy centers have a behavior that isn't Christian. The birthright international outfit, doesn't lie, apparently, or use heavy handed tactics. Groups at practice non-christian behavior, surely prove, The Inadequacy of Moralism

Here is a quote from Birthright. Jim, you will convert no one to your thougths that women decide if they will murder their children; or that it is a personal decision. You sound like Bill Clinton who in his early years would say; I just hate the thought of abortion, but women have the right to choose.

It is a "moral decision".

Birthright takes a "non-moralistic, non-judgmental" approach toward helping women through their pregnancy dilemmas. Louise regretted the fact that some young unmarried mothers were belittled or ostracized by their relatives: "I can never see anything wrong with any of them." Louise recreated the supportive homelike environment they deserved to have. Moreover, Louise helped formulate a Charter, followed by all Birthright chapters worldwide, to define Birthright's services, to ensure that pregnant women receive the same considerate treatment at every Birthright chapter, and to help volunteers preserve Birthright's good reputation in the future.

If the same people who were in the governorship and legislature last year, then the bill won't pass, if it did pass, the U.S. Supreme Court would kill it. Colorado is not a conservative state, nor would I say is our neighbor to the east, Iowa, when it comes to social/religious issues.

Anyway, reminder to readers in both those states, The Ridiculous Grace of Adoption
The above an interesting story, below an organization to check out.
