Pope Defrocked Nearly 400 Priests For Sexually Molesting Children
A document obtained by The Associated Press on Friday shows Pope Benedict XVI defrocked nearly 400 priests over just two years for sexually molesting children.

The statistics for 2011 and 2012 show a dramatic increase over the 171 priests removed in 2008 and 2009, when the Vatican first provided details on the number of priests who have been defrocked. Prior to that, it had only publicly revealed the number of alleged cases of sexual abuse it had received and the number of trials it had authorized. ...

The Jews can't be blamed for Roman Catholic Authority, or as John MacArthur put it in a much, much longer commentary, The Scandal of the Catholic Priesthood, is not sexual abuse, as bad as it is, but it is entirely non-Biblical, priests and all the laity should make a Pilgrimage From Rome.

Oh, and as far as His Unholiness is concerned, Jesus Christ, Our One & Only High Priest and

SteveR... If it is a spiritual battle, then we are to know people, and institutions by their fruit. If Christ said " you are to call no man your father", and rcc priests know this passage, and still insist on being called father, or even worse "holy father" then that is your example of bad spiritual fruit. If they pray to dead people instead of God, then there is your example of bad spiritual fruit. I could go on... you shall know them by their fruits.

Christopher,
You more than anyone else knows that this is a spiritual battle. Sure, there are earthly manifestations, heresies and injuries but this is a spiritual war. While many have earthly justification(some are very understandable) for their hatred of the RCC, its a spiritual battle with spiritual consequences.

Shane,
Agree, their track record isnt the best but whose is?

However, this is another step in the positive direction for the RCC.

Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Steve, if you're speaking to me...you've said on two occassions now while defending: "Roman Catholics are born again, they just don know it yet and they don't know how they were saved."
Do you still stand by this or want to explain in case I am taking it wrong?
Here's what's interesting to me: people on this forum argue, disagree, and even say unsavory things to each other at times. Everyone has their own opinions on different topics; some of which keep certain people forever at odds. My point is that everyone here has their own thoughts, opinions, theories, etc, so it's not some sort of club where they are all drones who pounce upon the first outsider who don't agree with them. They're all individuals who have differing opinions and are often at odds with one another.
With this in mind, doesn't it give you any pause when 100% of the people here are against your defense of Rome 100% of the time? When so many people with differing opinions on so many topics all come together like glue against Rome and the things you say, do you ever stop to wonder and question yourself, or is it a simple matter of mass deception and hatred in your mind? Thanks.

Not fully, but that is the extent of RCC authority. Despite the irrational fears of many on this board, the Pope isnt the antichrist & cant imprison, behead or set these guys afire. I further conclude that this move means the RCC wont protect them and that civil authorities should find it easier to execute crimnal sanctions.

And to use Gods word to pervert your twisted thinking is an abomination. You sir need to repent!
In my family there are several who have been victims to this perversion I dare you to quote those scriptures to them!!
I lived in a community as a child where nearly every priest who came to the RCC in our town was a predator of children and a pervert....and they destroyed many lives!!
These perverts need to be handed over to the law courts and put away from society not moved to different towns to engage in their wickedness and perversion!!
How dare you defend such filth!
Agree!

The problem is God says they that practice such things shall NOT inherit the kingdom of God and SteveR still calls them Christians. Thus he falls under the condemnation of woe unto those that call evil good and good evil. Those whom God in His Word calls unrighteous, SteveR call righteous. It matters not what we undeserving recipients of the grace of God think of such statements. What does a holy omnipotent God think of this practice?

Proverbs 17:15 (KJV)

He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the Lord.

Thanks to all who try and help him see the light of his errors for the Scriptures remind us to,

II Timothy 2:25 (KJV)

In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth

I read a book many years ago, which I found difficult to believe. It was titled MARIA MONK. Sadly what has been revealed to us in recent years confirms the awful abuses which took place in this religious order.Reformation history should be taught from our pulpits to remind our present generation how much we owe to the Reformers,
.Surely no office could be so false as that of a pope. I do not say this with any malice, but sad that so many are deluded by their false claims, and seem unconvinced by scandal after scandal which makes headlines.

Shane, while a good comment, how would you apply that to the Romish Church? You would have to expel all the priests from the Pope on down Clerical Celibacy and for practicing witchcraft otherwise known as administering The Sacraments. Roman Catholic Authority has no basis in the Bible.

Full Definition of DEFROCK

1 to deprive (as a priest) of the right to exercise the functions of office

To defrock, unfrock, or laicize ministers or priests is to remove their rights to exercise the functions of the ordained ministry. This may be due to criminal convictions, disciplinary matters, or disagreements over doctrine or dogma. It may also be voluntarily for personal reasons (taking over a family business, declining health, running for civil offices, old age, or for various other reasons). Various Christian denominations have different procedures for doing this. While the functional meaning is the same, "defrocking" carries implications of forced laicization for misconduct, while "laicization" implies no judgement either way and may be initiated by the request of a priest to be released from vows.

Thanks Chris000

There of course, could be several reasons that His Unholiness, the Old Goosestepper resigned. One is his deteriorating health, and I think one can see the fragility of age set in. However, he gave himself diplomatic immunity, by having made himself declared Pope Emeritus, he may have very well been called up before some legal system, A Call for Earthly Justice--Holding the Catholic Church accountable for its crimes..

Considering that there are 4-6 thousand priests in the U.S. alone -- yes, still only 4% of the priests in the U.S., that are accused of sexual misconduct--400 is a drop in the bucket in handling the The Scandal of the Catholic Priesthood (a lengthy commentary by John MacArthur on the Romish manmade priesthood).

Should Roman Catholicism really be classified as a Christian religion? -- No.
