Supreme Court skeptical of abortion clinic buffer zones
The Supreme Court waded cautiously back into the larger debate over abortion on Wednesday.
A number of justices raised concerns about a Massachusetts state law preventing activists from crossing a 35-foot buffer zone around reproductive health clinics.
During an intense hour of oral arguments, Massachusetts officials said the issue was more about public safety and pedestrian access on local sidewalks. Anti-abortion supporters countered their free speech rights were being violated.
The article about Crisis pregnancy center of Wikipedia, has a hostile tone to it, because of the "in your face attitude" of many of anti-abortionists, (Note: Birthright International apparently doesn't have that attitude) Admittedly the Wikipedia article is a little heavy-handed itself concerning PRCs.
It will be interesting to see how the Supreme Court handles this issue which has strong feelings on both sides about abortion, which is wrong. Still, The Inadequacy of Moralism.
