Missing U.S. soldier Bowe Bergdahl seen in video

The U.S. military has obtained new video apparently made by those holding the lone American prisoner of war, Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

A U.S. military official told CNN the clip shows the Wood Valley, Idaho, native in diminished health from the effects of close to five years in captivity.

He was seized in Afghanistan in June 2009 and is believed held by the Taliban-aligned Haqqani network in Pakistan, the official said.

The so-called proof-of-life video, the first of him in nearly three years, has a reference to December 14, 2013. ...

Something again unpleasant from Afghanistan, Afghan security guard shoots dead 3 American doctors at hospital. Also wounded a nurse, perhaps a wife of one of the doctors?

Well, admittedly, UPS, it at least can be called Ronneycare, which is doing okay, in Mass. Last time I looked Mitty was the (gutless? ) Presidential candidate in the last election for the GOP?

Speaking of Mormons and to make my point on extremists, Time to forgive Glenn Beck?

once again Jim, we have already proved MULTIPLE TIMES that what you term GOP healthplan orginated with the dems LONG before 1989. The CURRENT government "healthplan" had ALL amendments put forth by GOP rejected by the democratic majority and NO republican voted for Obamacare. Besides, once and again,if it is such a great plan why would a lib like yourself want the GOP to have any credit for it? You seem to be a honest person, call it what is, a plan drafted by and implemented by the democrats. Can't pin this policy failure on the GOP, the dems deserve ALL the credit.

Then you say the president followed the previous administrations plans, was that because someone put a gun to their head? They are responsible for their actions?

You actually read Geisler's book? Good!
I do admit being conservative, both economic and social. I admit it because as a conservative, honesty naturally seems the best policy. Now if liberals, who are nearly all about emotion (which is why they speak/write in memorized soundbites and slogans,) could admit they are liberals, not moderates, independents, or "progressive," real growth for them might begin.

Mike of N.Y., He has also done like the Presidents before him, carried out the foreign policies of the Presidents before him Baby-face Bush had the opportunity to build a main highway between Kabul and Kandahar (sp?) This could've have been of great economic and political benefit, but he squandered the opportunity.

You should have noticed that President Obama has been quite conservative on the whole, using the Republican healthcare plan, treating bankers with kid gloves etc. So, you wish to fault him for following GOP policies?

I don't know if you're aware of it, but President Obama has been in charge of all that has gone on in Afghanistan for the last 5 years.

I remember one reporter commenting why didn't we improve the infrastructure, such as roads? Since there wasn't any oil in Afghanistan, babyface bush didn't pay that much attention to it. I'm not sure if we did do some more work there that it would had a lasting effect, considering the Islamic nature of the country.

Penny,
The reason we don't leave them alone and bring our troops home is because our so-called leaders are sold out to globalism and believe our military should be used to bring about a New World Order. They are not concerned with honoring their oath of office to uphold and defend the Constitution. They pretend that our meddling in the affairs of others is in our strategic interest. And too many voters in this country apparantly agree since they continue to elect and re-elect these anti-American satanic socialists who are hell-bent on bringing about their agenda regardless of the ruin it will bring upon America. Pray for this soldier and pray that Americans wake up before it is too late!
