Street preacher arrested and held in custody for mentioning sexual sin

Street preacher Tony Miano, who was arrested yesterday (8th January), has been released on bail to appear before Dundee Sheriff's Court on 22nd April, reports Christian Concern for our Nation.

Police in Scotland arrested the Christian street evangelist after a woman complained that he had spoken about sexual sin.

Tony, a US preacher and a former Los Angeles Deputy Sheriff, was then remanded in custody to appear before Dundee Sheriff Court today (9th January).

He was part of a street preaching team holding a week-long mission in Scotland. ...

It is a "gift" from GOD, right?
So let me ask this, whenever you give someone a gift, you give it to them freely right ? You don't ask anything from them, they don't have to do anything to earn it right or pay it back right? Surely not otherwise it was never grace to begin with, same is our eternal salvation. GOD offers it to is freely as a gift, not something we have to pay back. Right?
Right.

Romans 11:29 KJV

God never changes his mind about the gifts he gives by grace.

Wow, you guys are right...truth schmuth...who cares what the truth about anything is when we can just love, love, love. What's the point of ever discussing anything when I can just think about Christ instead. When anyone is ever wrong about anything, I never get involved because I only have time for Jesus. I'm with you guys, if anyone is ever wrong about something, unclear, has a question, or whatever, they're on their own because it would distract me from thinking about Christ.

Notice in particular verses 37,39,44. Are you going to say that my will is stronger than the Father's will and that Jesus couldn't keep His promise to not lose any the Father has given Him or to not raise us up on the last day?

[37] All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

[39] And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

[44] No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

[45] It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. (Jhn 6:37,39,44-45 KJV)

Yes GS, we have the perfect righteousness of our Lord and Savior. Good verse

CAB, in order to "lose" one's salvation, one has to have it first. Right?

So how did Adam and Eve have salvation BEFORE they ate of the tree? Prior to their fall, did they hear the Good News of the Gospel and believe?

And as for Satan and his angels ...
There was NEVER any plan of redemption and salvation.

Sister, you certainly have your theological categories messed up!
____________

Now here's something for you to chew on:
"In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of the ELECT angels I charge you to keep these rules without prejudging, doing nothing from partiality. [1 Tim 5:21]

Imagine that! "ELECT" angels!
I wonder who elected them?

[hint: not Calvin]

Good verses Frank. She is always falsely claiming none here have read the words of Jesus, yet when she is confronted with verses straight from Gospels that expose her false doctrine, she ignores it, and keeps on with petty straw man arguments. I find it particularly blasphemous to believe we are justified by anything other than the finished work, and righteousness of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:21 "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

I have to go to work now, have a blessed day.

Frank she won't have an answer unless she repents but stay with it, there are others that are reading and may need to consider what you said.
Thanks brother! I do have a tendency to withdraw when someone doesn't debate honestly. But,my question cannot be debated unless someone isn't saved. The mere fact that Christ asked His heavenly Father for something means it will be answered in the specific manner He requested. I have thought this lady was a mormon who is simply trolling because she is bored and enjoys aggravating the saints, but then I admit I am only guessing. Anyway, your posts are excellent as usual.

A mormon ignores the cross of Christ and concentrate on His agony in the garden.

But perhaps my brother JohnUK and others are correct about Corner??

[2] As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

[9] I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

[10] And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

[11] And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we [are].

[15] I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

[20] Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; (Jhn 17:2, 9-11, 15, 20 KJV)

Our Lord and Savior is praying to His heavenly Father in the above verses. In verse 11, He asks the Father to keep them. In verse 15, He asks the Father to keep them from evil. Note; losing one’s salvation is certainly synonymous with evil. And lastly, He says that His prayer is not only for His immediate audience, but for those who would believe through their word (that would be us). Now here is the question; is it possible that God the Father won’t honor His Son’s request.

Now, no strawmen arguments; please just answer.

CAB: It's becoming harder and harder to be patient with you. Your hatred of calvinists is unbelievable. Never mind several hundred years of church history & the fact that some if the greatest preachers in history were calvinists, right? Now I myself am a calvinist (technically I'm reformed but I don't think you really care) and how have I shown ANY hatred? How about Shane? JSC? GSTexas? We've all been extremely patient and you have simply (for reasons beyond me) lost your temper. Oh and regarding Ray Comfort, his ministry helped lead me to Christ.

Talking to people who don't know their Bible? Its because I know the Bible that I know your wrong. Thank God in heaven the he gave us his word, so that we don't have fall for false teachers like you. You are the one who doesn't know the Bible, you just parrot your cult leader Dan Corner. I've posted many verses that expose your heresy, and you just ignore, and keep going. Have you no shame or dignity? How long are you gonna keep this up? Isnt enough, enough? No one here is buying the lie you are selling. So take your doggerel to those who don't know Scripture.

He convinces you you are a sinner, and then if you say the prayer now he guarantees you can do the same sins you did before but you're going to Heaven no matter what.
As I've just proved, the Million Dollar tract concludes with repent (turn from sin) and trust in Christ. Then read the Bible and obey it.

Really, you should not build a strawman argument with such dreadful lies. Can you not see that you are the law breaker? That you need Jesus Christ? That you are guilty before God and need a Saviour?

Tell that to Adam and Eve -- or Lucifer and his angels.

Our seal is the Holy Spirit, and if we grieve, quench, insult the Spirit away, and we die dry as 5 of the 10 virgins, then we will miss Heaven (aka go to Hell).

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. That's what the Bible is for, so we can read the examples of others and the warnings and teachings, so we can build our house (our life) on the rock, the Word of God, not on shifting sand (wishes and dreams and old wives tales and guesses and the (il)logic of Plato or Calvin). If we build our house on the latest pop Christianity fads, or the old pop Christianity fads, any man-made doctrines as Jesus said "traditions of men" -- our house will come crashing down as Jesus said, and "Great will be the fall of it."

I hate to say these obvious things, as though I'm talking to people from Mars who never read the Bible and are not familiar with basic common truths that are common doctrine and teaching throughout the Bible. How can people ignore the whole Bible and take a few verses and twist them to make them agree with some blather written by Calvin?

I have read your anti calvinist stuff over and over. Its funny how arminians or semi palagians charge us with being doctrine and no grace; and yet they preach a works based salvation. The dead give away being once a person works for salvation inherently even though they disagree, they become anxious because they realize they cannot work to please God, the rack ip more and more debt and become more and more anxious about their unforgiven debt which leads to anger and bitterness. And that is what I see here.

I am not suggesting you have to "switch to calvinism" but I know you will read it that way. I want you to consider your own religion, you have been very venomis on here and I look past that and my heart breaks at the bitterness in your heart. I pray God would frew you from this bondage and you would become sensible of His sweet mercies and forgiveness that releases the heart from anxiety, not increases anxiety

The Tract. Note,

The million dollar question: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here's a quick test. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God's name in vain? Jesus said, "Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Have you looked with lust? Will you be guilty on Judgment Day? If you have done those things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Bible warns that if you are guilty you will end up in Hell. That's not God's will. He sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross for you. You broke God's Law, but Jesus paid your fine. That means He can legally dismiss your case. He can commute your death sentence: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Then Jesus rose from the dead and defeated death. Please, repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus alone, and God will grant you the gift of everlasting life. Then read your Bible daily and obey it.
