Teacher Tells Student: 'Jesus is not allowed in school'

A Southern California school district is under fire for preventing a first grader from handing out to his classmates candy canes with religious messages, a lawyer for the student said.

After conferring with the principal at Merced Elementary School in West Covina on Dec. 13, a teacher told the student, 6-year-old Isaiah Martinez, “Jesus is not allowed in school."

“I was shocked,” he said. “I was like, ‘Wow, they really just said no.’”

He said the teacher then threw the messages in the trash before handing the candy back to him to pass out to his classmates. ...

Mass participation is clear denial of the gospel. If some Catholics are saved then some JW's and Mormons are saved too. (Troll comments on this statement is strictly forbidden)

Like you John, I dont think Catholic Christian is an oxymoron at all. I think the RCC is full of born again Christians that just dont understand how they were saved. While they might show a mask that their works are helping their salvation, down deep EACH born again believer knows that their salvation is through Grace alone. There are lots of reasons why they stay, maybe family, maybe atmosphere, maybe watching Protestant denominations falling into grave apostasy and of course loving the praise of men
John 12:42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: John 12:43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

John Y., Do you think you could do as much as his child such as putting copies of Is A Catholic Christian An Oxymoron? (Yes!) And/Or Is the One True Church Roman Catholic? in the pews of your Catholic Church?

Shame on this teacher.
Keep Jesus out of the school you say? It is by His providence that you get up every morning and have the privilegedge to teach this class.

Why do atheist teachers keep doing this nonsense when they know that it is in violation of the Supreme Court ruling that stated that it is not unconstitutional to mention God the Father or Jesus in public schools?

Personally, I don't know how I would function at a public school as such. I attend a small private in the south, so it's not a deal down here. Still, my every essay, how I read textbooks and assigns books, how I think about all my classes is from a Christian perspective. (To be clear, I don't mean a perfected perspective, but that that the bible and it's message are my default way of handling and processing information, doesn't mean I always process exactly correctly though, but I try). Point is, if they asked me any question, especially in English classes, I can't answer without thinking that way.

Unfortunately then, if you can bring the Christian religion into the school and such an obvious manner, then a person can just as well bring in, Muhammad, Buddha, or Joseph Smith.

So I congratulate the youngster for serendipitously bringing in the Christian message, but you're going to get reactions that Christians aren't going to like.

All things heaven and earth are given to Me.....

And the Lamb took the scroll from the right hand of Him seated on the throne....

I wonder how this teacher purposes to tell Jesus He can't go there.....
