Planned Parenthood Board Member Says Abortion is a 'Sacred Gift'
In recent opinion columns, Planned Parenthood board member Valerie Tarico wrote that abortion is a ‚Äúsacred gift‚ÄĚ and celebrated her belief that Christianity is ‚Äúin decline,‚ÄĚ Christian News reports.
Tarico is one of a 400-member Board of Advocated for Planned Parenthood. Her writings have appeared in outlets such as Salon, AlterNet and the Huffington Post, where she routinely writes about her opposition to Christian beliefs and values.
In one such Huffington Post article last January, Tarico encouraged readers to ‚Äúhonor women who decide to terminate pregnancies.‚ÄĚ They are ‚Äúdoing God‚Äôs work,‚ÄĚ she wrote. ‚ÄúAn abortion when needed is a blessing. It is a gift, a grace, a mercy, a cause for gratitude, a new lease on life. Being able to choose when and whether to bring a child into the world enables us and out children to flourish.‚ÄĚ
Tarico also believes Christianity is on the decline. According to...
Just a general cooment I would like to share. I have raised 5 kids and 2 foster children. They had clean clothes, hot meals and a structured life. I worked part time inbetween. We had a steady church life. And guess what? I loved my role as mother and each of my children have thanked me for a "good upbringing." I would do it all over again. Young women, never undermine this God given role. There are so many rewards.
He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both [are] abomination to the LORD. (Pro 17:15 KJV)
And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb [to be] his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength. (Isa 49:5 KJV)
Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. (Jer 1:4-5 KJV)
And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed [art] thou among women, and blessed [is] the fruit of thy womb. For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. (Luk 1:41-42, 44 KJV)
Thou shalt not kill. (Exd 20:13 KJV)
Now I would simply ask anyone to answer this. If life does not begin at conception, then when did Jesus’ earthly life begin? Would it have been okay for his poor unmarried mother to abort Him. OF COURSE NOT!
I haven't dived to deeply into this but I am still waiting for a concise list from them as to why I should honor people who commit homicide on the defenseless for internal reasons. They just tell you to do it. The issues surrounding sex just seem to be the most blatant and aggresive attacks on God.
