Christian Post: Warning, this article may offend many Christians
I'm not referring to all churches collectively in this article, but to the large majority who have drifted away from God. The present condition of the church leaves one to wonder if the lack of the fear of the Lord is contributing to her spiritually dead condition.

With rapid fire changes within a culture saturated by political correctness and relativism, we are inclined to ask if there is any hope for America. If we continue down this slippery slope, there is little hope. Apart from a national spiritual awakening, it will be difficult to turn the Titanic around—the vessel has been struck; what's inside is spilling out. But if God brings revival...if we once again set our hearts and minds on Him...there is tremendous hope. Revival means to awaken, restore, renew, or repair. In churches across America, crowd appeal and pleasing the masses tends to be the goal rather than calling out destructive ...

CAB, no they don't know about noahide laws, and yet they could look it up, as I did.... they wouldn't dare look up the antichrist nature of the Talmud either. on the other hand CAB, it is the Spirit of God that leads His people to righteousness. Even the ungodly can do right things. The steps of a righteous man are ordered by God.

I guess I find issue all around. It is the Spirit of God that will convict them, CAB of the general trend of evangelicals to cooperate with the antichrist spirit. But it is also the Lord who will set you free from your works based salvation that is too heavy a yoke for me.

There are abuses in putting works before faith and also hyper grace, that says I'm saved, therefore I don't have to live it. Both are bereft of the power of God.

It is Christ who builds His church. Faith means trusting in Him. that is to trust Him right now for our daily needs and then to live in that light.

Cab

You wrote "Jesus did not orchestrate His crucifixion"

in acts 5 there is a prayer for boldness, what do they claim in that prayer?

And then you said to believe that is blasphemous; did you just claim to believe something that is clearly stated in scripture is blasphemy?

Are you referring to this quote from my post?

"Before Calvary there was no such thing as eternal salvation..."

Did you happen to notice "eternal" salvation?

"no Hell or Heaven"?

You have a fertile imagination, Cheryl.

OK, CAB, Hbr 5:7-10
Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him....
Before Calvary there was no such thing as eternal salvation so all your appeals to pre-Calvary people who you assume were saved and went to hell are a waste of your time as well as ours. Spare us, please.
Regarding your appeal to 1 Tim 2:4 as prooftext that God doesn't always get what He wills and (I assume) you meant to apply the same conclusion to....
John 6:39
And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
Even if you were right about the 1 Tim text, surely you aren't suggesting that the Son would disobey the Father! Or is it you don't believe He is able?
Here's your claim that there was no salvation before Jesus died, no Hell or Heaven. You people don't even know what you believe or don't believe. I think you make it up as you go along.

John, that was a really good example even better than the rich young ruler because the truth that was shown him was accepted and he became a devoted follower of Christ. And never forgot but was always thankful that God saved him and used him to reach the Gentiles as well as the Jews. Amazing Grace!!

Wow! I finally finished listening to this sermon. It sure goes against the hour and 15 minute planned out Sunday morning time of today's modern churches.

Makes me want (despite my differences with him on where to study in university/college) Trevor Hammack's message on Super Bowl Sunday
Hint: If you listen to both these messages the point comes clearly across (or should) devotion to Jesus Christ ought to be so much more than the crumbs modern day churches occasionally let fall in His direction, while they entertain themselves with the business of religion

Reading your post Dolores reminded me straight away of Saul of Tarsus before his conversion. He, like the rich young man, imagined he kept the law blameless. But the Spirit opened his eyes to the truth on the road to Damascus and ever since glorified God for his amazing grace and mercy. As the Apostle Paul, he wrote, "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners." Instead of regarding himself as a superhero lawkeeper, he proclaimed himself "chief of sinners". This is a sure evidence of new birth.

I see you are still arguing your point here, cab. You are angry, beligerent and I see no love of the brethen here which is one of the signs we are born again and the world will see and know we are Christians. You argue to prove a point not try to win someone to Christ or lovingly help someone see truth. I personally don't care what you believe to be true because God has already shown me the truth and believe me I was set free by it, don't need to defend it to others that are not yet free nor want to be.I hate to burst you bubble but you are not sinless. You don't even manifest the fruit of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, longsuffering, hope, faith, patience, kindness. Jesus included the thoughts as sinful as well, hatred leads to murderous thoughts, if you lust you commit adultery in your heart. The rich young ruler thought he had it made just because he kept the commandments..Jesus saw the greed in his heart and the need of a saviour.I'm not teaching you anything but hopefully someone else reading this forum will see and be set free by the truth.

1 Timothy 2:12 "But I suffer a woman not to teach, nor usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

I know this is a public forum where its alright for women to voice their opinion, but you are trying to teach men here as if you are the paragon of Scriptural wisdom and insight, which is overstepping your role. I thought you don't reject the words of Paul? You might also want to read Galatians. Like you the Jews thought they were justified by works, and Paul had to set them straight.

Galatians 2:16 "Knowing that a man is NOT justified by the works of the law, but by the FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the FAITH OF CHRIST, and NOT by the works of the law; for by the works of the law shall NO flesh be justified."

MIKE: Do you feel you have a lock on it?

CAB: Jesus sure does. I don't see you sticking YOUR neck out to talk about any of this stuff. Do you think you're heading to Heaven on a speedrail? You don't think any of Jesus' warnings to the saved have meaning?

You do know there are guillotines in the FEMA camps, yes? And has anybody ever talked on this forum about what they plan to do if the Noahide laws are enforced in those camps, which I have heard that dissidents will be sent there and yes, this will indeed happen. The way things are going, any of us could be faced with something like that, deny Jesus or die.

And also we could die in our sins, like the 5 virgins or the lazy servant or the backslidden servant Jesus talked about?

Or the second and third examples in the Parable of the Sower, or the implications of what Jesus taught about the first example? Jesus DID teach these things, so they are true, nobody better than him to know, and 4 separate people recorded.

These are only SOME warnings by Jesus to SAVED people of HELL.

If you don't think I am qualified to speak, why don't YOU speak??

I dispute that Jesus is micromanaging events

1/9/14 3:09 PM CAB

I said micromanage. We all know Jesus came to earth to give his life for us. That is not the same as running everybody's behavior and thought to make sure it all comes out the way the movie script is written.

1/9/14 2:31 PM CAB

Jesus did not orchestrate or micromanage his own crucifixion. To say otherwise is blasphemous, horrific to contemplate.

...so Jesus was not privy to seeing the end from the beginning.

1/9/14 1:30 PM CAB

Jesus the BIG FAKE, orchestrating his own crucifixion from the very beginning, it was a big theatrical dog and pony show with the Father and Jesus pulling all the strings -- or rather call it a puppet show,

I beg your pardon, I was not slandering you, I was simply taking you at your word. You are one who implied that the Lord did not orchestrate His own crucifixion, which would imply that things happened by chance. I gave you solid Scriptural reproof of such folly on your part.

You are the one who called Jesus a liar. You are the one that like Satan in the garden of Eden brought up the accusation, yea, hath God said. It is you who slanders the grace of God.

But God is rich in mercy to all that call upon Him, may He grant you pardon

I don't know who you are or who you're working for, but this is abuse and slander, and I have never said anything close to this, in my entire life.

Slander and railing are two sins the Bible says will exclude someone from Heaven. You are guilty of both. And so are your friends Lurker, UK John and 1575. I have heard the London Banksters and intelligence agencies have thousands of people hired to go on forums like this and blow smoke and anything to keep people blind and exploited.

http://www.cbcg.org/franklin/SA/SA_28prophecies.pdf

CAB thinks all that happened by coincidence. Really?

See John 19:28 “After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst." Please note His motivation.

The Bible teaches the ability to make wealth comes from God (Deut.8:18). Yet we see two wealthy men involved the activities of our Savior's passion. An unnamed man had a furnished upper chamber for the Passover. Just by "coincidence" (NOT)a man with a pitcher of water happened to walk by the disciples and lead them to that man. (sounds pretty micro-managed here to the last detail) The another wealthy man Joseph of Arimethea bought, more than likely long before our Lord's crucifixion, a cave for burial right by the place of the skull and he was the one who begged the body of our Lord. There also just happened to be two other malefactors who were crucified with Him, thus fulfilling exactly Isaiah 53:9.

Psalms 22 was written several hundred years before crucifixion became a way to punish criminals. The list could go on and on but alas characters do not.

Of course, I'm saying anything you don't already know.
Thanks bro. Always glad to be reminded.

Hebrews 12:6-8 KJV
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastrads, and not sons.

Phew, I'm sure glad of that chastisement.

He chastises them he loves.

May have to lay it down. "harmonize" reveals her hermenutic, she is reading into the text. The scriptures read faithful to the author's intent reveals it's harmony and the reader receives it as the revealed word of God where she is trying to harmonize it.
Although maybe you should keep going as yoi have faithfully laid a good case and it may well be for the edification of others here
Thanks, JSC.

"to the author's intent" is so important and thank you for making that point.

I would gladly continue if Cheryl would submit to biblical texts as written and as the Author intended but I don't see that. FYI, CAB has been on and off this forum for many years and her rhetoric never changes. Her heels are dug in and her mind is closed.... a condition only God can change if it be His will. I hope and pray it is in His appointed time.

God's rich blessings to you.

Gotta go......
