Childlessness in US Among Highest in the World, Report Says

The childlessness rate among women nearing the end of their childbearing years in the United States is among the highest in the world, according to the latest World Fertility Report by the United Nations, which also shows that 41 percent of all U.S. births occurred to unmarried women.

Among 118 places for which comparable data is available, only six have rates of childlessness higher than the U.S. rate of 19 percent, Pew Research Center noted Friday in its analysis of the World Fertility Report 2012.

Women between the ages of 40 and 44 in the U.S. have, on average, about 1.9 children in their lifetimes, which is one of the lowest levels of 171 countries analyzed, with just 19 places having an equal or lower lifetime fertility levels. ...

Complete nonsense response that has nothing to do with what is addressed by the article or what I said...typical though...everybody act like an irresponsible fool...God'll fix it ya'll ....very biblical also....all through the bible we are told to just cut loose because God is our cosmic janitor who will clean it all up.people who are struggling to care for the children they have and continue to have more and place burdens on others are acting irresponsibly.

Thanks. Ill check out the sources y'all have listed. We've been trying to switch to a more natural lifestyle but the process has been long and slow. At times it's been overwhelming and discouraging.

SF,

you might try nourishing traditions, informative book on food, or Balch, Prescription for Nutritional Healing, to keep in house, or links put here like polyface farms. if you try one thing at a time to improve health, it will lead to next, like getting heirloom seeds for a garden, will teach you about composting, and suddenly you will understand that having animal manure is a good thing (as opposed to hindu caste system where cow is worth more than human, and vegetarianism makes us somehow spiritualy superior) and composting will lead to understanding of fermented foods and the nature of the body, such as beneficial microbes, and how we don't want to erradicte them, which will lead to understanding of the probiotic innoculations some societies do to their soil -- its a kind of reversing the lost knowledge of modernism, which was about moving things faster, cheaper.

here's a few verses, if you are interested (given to me by an elder gentleman who spent his lifetime helping people as a naturopath) --

Jeremiah 17:5-11, Titus 1:16, Psalms 127:1,2, Hosea 4:6, Ezekial 47:12, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, 2 Chronicles 16:12-13, Hosea 4:3,8,9,20, Jeremiah 45:11, Genesis 1:11,12,29,30; Genesis 9:3, Psalms 104:14, Revelations 22:1-2, 2 Peter 1:3, Jeremiah 23: 1,2,36, Ps104

Weston A Price, Kayla Daniels stuff. Google it.

Gary Null, AIDS, lots of documentaries, Google.

House of Numbers, an excellent documentary. Google it.

Google Roger Morgan, www.tbac.us, to get started on info on pot. A fat soluble hallucinogen that eats DNA and sits in the brain and reproductive organs and fat cells -- is the worst possible thing for our temple of God. A slow release of the 2000 toxic chemicals in cannibus, so a person is perpetually in a stupor, yet always looking for a "real" high so he keeps sucking more and more of the weed into his body -- addiction much? ER rooms are full of pot smokers having panic attacks because the pot doubles the heart rate and produces anxiety and paranoia and panic. People smoke this a few times and some people lose their minds into schizophrenia and NEVER come back to sanity. Check it out. There's a reason why the Bible says "Love not the world," and yes Satan is the god of this world, and yes most of what this world offers is lies and illusions and DEATH. Jesus said not to fear man who can only kill the body, but rather to fear God who can throw us into Hell.

CAB, yep, then they get the young people on the hormone disrupting soy (Asian countries ferment it and its not gm), and do not get the nutrients from the organ meats, etc, and then promote it as higher spirituality, while the gov makes agreements for chickens to be sold from CHina but having chickens on own property is against the law. we are ensnaring ourselves.

and this kind of diet does have an effect on sterility. yep. the eugenics movement is succeeding.

Smoking pot causes infertility, and birth defects.

Eating soy causes infertility, babies fed soymilk will not develop properly -- boys may have undeveloped testicles and girls may develop too fast, too early.

People must take responsibility for their own health, stop listening to authorities working for the Illuminati.

Take initiative to get clean water (no fluoride). Avoid food: soaked in weedkiller, GMO food, processed food with mystery ingredients. Aspartame, MSG, all poisons including OTC drugs and pharma drugs prescribed by American idiot doctors (allopaths). Doctors murder over a million U.S. citizens a year.

Our body is our temple. Avoid fake food, poison Pharma meds which they all are (even if you're not paying for it and Obama forces somebody else to buy it for you)...also fluoridated water, govt. subsidized nasty GMO corn, soy, canola, all the fake cheap vegetable oils in the grocery store, fake butter, fake anything. Eat real food you fix yourself from scratch. Milk, butter, vegetables, bone broths. Check out WAP Foundation.

Pot causes permanent short term memory damage, birth defects and infertility. Schizophrenia. Makes people stupid and lazy, also delusional..which is why it's called wacky tobaccy and loco weed.

Best advice, flee the U.S. ASAP.

And I must add that I'm not arguing for government assistance. A family that trusts in God for their family size and surrenders all (that includes the womb) will most likely struggle. Accordingto Scripture, if the family is working hard ad still are unable to make ends meet then it is the churches place to help (for believers). As far as non believers, there's nothing wrong with having compassion. As for lazy people who don't want to work well the Bible teaches if a man doesn't work he doesn't eat 2 Thessalonians 3:10.

Again, who is the Author of life? Though we may not understand it, it is God who created and placed the child in the womb in the above situations.
Again who said otherwise ? that is not the issue addressed in the article, the article should ask the question what percentage of people who can raise a child in a two parent home without government assistance are having children ? it seems many who don't fit that description are having plenty of children.

Strat, I have to ask you, who creates life? And you say "why not read the Bible", if you did this you would see who opens and closes the womb. Man does not nor can he create life/open and close the womb. Sure man have a part to play gut ultimately the Creator God is the one who blesses a couple with child. Truly children are a blessing/reward from the Lord Psalm 127:3
I am well aware of who creates life, that is not the issue I was addressing,God does open and close the womb but apart from the virgin birth of which there was,is and will only be one it requires a man and woman engaging in sexual activity for the opening or closing to matter...some choose to get married and have children while others choose not to...why is that so hard for some to accept when it is in fact it is none of their business.....who "blesses" a rape victim with a child ? a one night stand ? a teenage mother ?...children from the lord in the context of christian marriage are a blessing while the others have a hard time of it.

Having children is not a fix for a marriage or a solution to a problem or satisfaction for some twisted curiosity.,most children conceived and born for these purposes in these circumstances suffer badly.

Instead of reading what somebody else has to say about what God says why not read the bible,it does not use guilt and emotional appeals and trickery to make it's case. like many authors with an agenda do.

The attacks on reproduction are twofold, one concerns it's self with the nonsense of overcrowding the planet while the other just doesn't want Christians reproducing and raisng their children in the fear and reverence of God.

Not everyone is cut out to be a parent, just because you have the plumbing to make it happen.

Oh come on,you're no fun....don't you know how much people enjoy degrading other people who have made choices they are free in God to make, both marriage and parenting are choices God places before us and neither one is wrong....and of course we know how pure and sinless absolutely everyone is who has children.

People love their selfishness. Children are too much of a sacrifice of self for these people. Unless of course they can't have children. Children are a joy!
