A resident of Austin, Texas, has agreed to write a check to fund delivery of copies of the Gospel of John, an eyewitness account to Jesus’ life, to every home in his city, according to an online organization that arranges such deliveries.
The Gospel of John Project is set up by SermonAudio.com in cooperation with Trinitarian Bible Society, and raises funds for and coordinates the printing of copies of the New Testament book to deliver to Americans.
“Austin will be the 22nd city to be targeted, but what makes the Austin campaign so unique is that every single home in the entire city will be reached due to the heart desire of a single generous donor. Having lived more than 50 years of his life in Austin, he would now like to introduce its citizens to those immortal words from John’s Gospel and the One that spoke them once again,” the site confirms.

Amen and amen Gs! The Lord brought me to himself with far less Bible than the Gospel of John. But having spiritual life, I then sought to bring others into the kingdom, and when the first one was converted he suggested getting Bibles and start studying them, which is what we did. Knowing little, we got a whole load of New English Bibles to read!

Why so much bitterness against those that do what they can to bring others the "good news"?...get real? What are you doing? Sitting in chat rooms condemning them? I praise God that he still has His faithful in the world who love Him and want to tell others of His great love, mercy and grace to hell deserving sinners such as we ALL are.

Alas, much tripe in that post.
I was talking to non Christian last night, who has been attending our Bible Group for many weeks. I have to help him find the right place in scripture when the reading is given out. He says he hasn't a clue what to make of the Bible in terms of what to read and how to understand it. I advised him to only read the NT at home, beginning with the four gospels, getting to know the Person of Christ, his life and ministry. He thanked me for the advice.
The Gospel of John is quite sufficient for a poor lost sinner to grapple with. Many people don't even know who Jesus is. And the gospel message is there in that gospel, of repentance and faith in Jesus, who died for sinners.
Have a heart, and try to understand that lost souls are not deep theologians, most of them nowadays have no church background, and therefore no biblical starting point.
Praise the Lord for this Austin resident who no doubt read....
Mat 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
