Cedarville University 'Faculty Shakeup' Appears To Indicate Conservative Southern Baptist Future
A private religious university in Ohio is undergoing a faculty shakeup, including an exodus of women faculty, after having been taken over by Southern Baptists.

Cedarville University, whose well-known alumni include ABC News correspondent Paula Faris, executive director of the NFL Players’ Association DeMaurice Fitzgerald Smith and California pastor and author David Jeremiah, had already been perceived as a more conservative campus in the realm of Christian colleges.

The school, 30 minutes east of Dayton, Ohio, promotes a creationist approach to science and requires daily chapel attendance and an academic minor in the Bible. In 2008, the school rescinded a speaking invitation to popular Christian author Shane Claiborne, causing controversy among alumni. ...

Well there most likely are Catholic graduates of Notre Dame University who trust in Jesus alone for salvation just as there are other Catholics not associated with Notre Dame who trust in Jesus alone for salvation. I happen to one of those Catholics who trusts in Jesus alone for salvation. I sure don't trust in the Sacraments and the Catholic Church for salvation.

I don't believe that most Catholic graduates of Notre Dame University are Christians since they don't trust in Jesus alone for salvation. There are some Catholic graduates of Notre Dame University who trust in Jesus alone for salvation.

John you really are dense
You are the one that stated that I was wrong to state that the majority of Catholic graduates of Notre Dame University are not trusting in Jesus alone for salvation. And you also stated you know many of the staff and hundreds of graduates of Notre Dame University. So I was asking if the staff and graduates you know from Notre Dame University trust in Jesus alone for salvation?

And are those staff members and graduates of Notre Dame University trusting in Jesus alone for salvation? And what is this In Mary's name? That should be In Jesus name.

As it has been pointed out to you, about the Catholic education in another thread, "Conservative Catholics question Pope Francis’s approach" I have quite a bit in that particular thread, which in effect, points out, Should Roman Catholicism really be classified as a Christian religion? -- No..
Cedarville U., from it's description hardly looks like it was never a liberal school, as MSU was/is. As I said the only thing I didn't see why it should be gotten rid of, was the Physics Dept. If it were going to be a seminary, I could see some of their measures, but otherwise, one might wonder. I suppose they don't want to turn into another Baylor U. (a SBC school) which has probably stepped over the line into some secular activities.
For Christian universities to be in the world, but not of the world is a very difficult balancing act, a seminary shouldn't even try to carry this idea out.

Worldly graduates coming out of Cedarville University? What kind of a sick and mentally deranged mind believes that a Baptist University has worldly graduates?

With Huffington Post, when I put up material from them I try to put up only the printed version of an article, e.g., (Two Henchmen for Satan)...exchange Christmas Greetings, but if they had done that I wouldn't've been able to comment on the The Pope and the Papacy.

Interesting changes for this college. Now I can see why they could dump the Philosophy Dept., but Physics?? Apparently if they had a professor like this one, MSU professor William Penn pulled from classroom after attacks. One, he wasn't teaching his class the subject he was suppose to be doing. Two, he attacked Mrs. Romney personally, if memory serves, she's a fairly good looker? But I really don't know his taste in women --or men? He was really doing quite well on his attack on the GOP, but he should have been attacking, Roman Catholics, Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses.
