In Death, as in Life, Truth About Mandela Overlooked

President Obama, also heaping praises on Mandela, even ordered American flags flown at half-mast until Monday — especially shocking when considering that the late leader and his Soviet-backed armed movement spent decades on the official U.S. government terror list before being removed in 2008. “I am one of the countless millions who drew inspirations from Nelson Mandela’s life,” Obama said. “I cannot fully imagine my own life without the example that Nelson Mandela set. So long as I live, I will do what I can to learn from him.”

By contrast, even in the late 1980’s, shortly before the Apartheid regime surrendered to overwhelming global pressure to hand over power, Western leaders saw Mandela and his “African National Congress” in a very different light. “The ANC is a typical terrorist organization,” explained former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. U.S. President Ronald Reagan put Mandela ...

For some unknown reason, this has been brought to mind, Red Hot Preaching??? For you who live in the Chicago/Hammond area, you could be drawn into a "Baptist" church that practices the above. One church in that area that I can recommend with confidence is, Christian Fellowship Church

There's still hope for this lady John. My conversion experience came when I was 42. It was at a time when I was in between jobs. A Baptist woman gave me a Bible which I began reading with compelling interest. Mind you I had never read the Bible in prior days. For not only was I a Roman Catholic by tradition, I was of a worldly spirit. Later I would come to learn that it was the Spirit that compelled me to read God's Word. Much of the Bible was obscure to me in those days. But I persisted in reading it. Indeed I could not put the Good Book down. Ralph will attest to that. It was the Holy Spirit that brought me under conviction of my sins, whereupon I (a lapsed Catholic)felt a need to confess my sins to a priest. It was years later that the Holy Spirit led me out of that cult & taught me that Christ is our Great High Priest & He alone is our confessor! Praise God!
Thanks June for that amazing testimony. It greatly encourages me, and better equips me for when I next witness to a RC.

John, I don't have any "inside info", but when one considers the divisions that are so rife within Catholicism and the infighting amongst those who identify as "conservative / traditional Catholics" as opposed to those who identify as "liberal/progressive Catholics" at the present time it is reasonably safe to conclude their days are numbered. As Christ said . . "a house divided cannot stand".
Yes, thanks for that, June. I don't know enough to comment on it. But in the Providence of God I found myself witnessing to a lady last week who, when I asked her if she was from a local church, replied, "I'm a born again Catholic."

When I asked her what effect that had on her life, she replied, "I felt led by God to go to my priest to make confession."

It was all too vague for me, but then vagueness surely is inevitable when a person is brought up in such a vague church. The evangelical world has its own language, and anything different is regarded with suspicion.

I tried hard to engage in spiritual conversation, but it was well nigh impossible.

I wonder if the RCC will still be up and running when the Lord returns.

Interesting what you say about the RCC imploding, you must have some insider info I've not heard about.

From studying this matter out and observing the comments made by Catholics from both sides of the aisle, it is my humble but informed opinion that they are in self-destruct mode. Their numerous PR initiatives to restore confidence in the formerly faithful who have opted out of the unholy RC "church", the latest of which came in the form of installing a new pope, no doubt with a view to re-inventing themselves, have fallen on deaf ears. The so-called "child protection" measures they have put in place have failed to address the root problems and this is not lost on informed RC's!

Hey John, it is good to see you are still contending for the faith once delivered unto the saints and though I have not posted at SA in more recent days, I have been commenting for sometime now on various forums online on articles relating to the ongoing global Roman Catholic clergy abuse scandal. Recently though other priorities have emerged and so I have withdrawn from these discussions as well. Unarguably the RC institution is imploding from within right before our eyes in real time. The cracks in her foundation are becoming deeper and wider and her complete destruction appears very close at hand. God is not mocked!
On a more personal note, Ralph is laboring under a number of health problems just now and more of my time and energy is of necessity being directed toward his care. Notwithstanding, we have found that His mercies are new every morning and daily we prove his grace to be sufficient for us.
Hope all is well with you John!

Dorcas . . I honestly believe the times in which we live are as momentous as those of the Reformation.
I thank you for your concern . . your prayers are greatly appreciated. Though it is somewhat of a rough path we are treading just now, it is nothing compared to the plight of our Christian brothers and sisters in central Africa, as I am sure you are aware. I cannot begin to imagine the trauma they are going through and the fears which undoubtedly have gripped their souls. Theres is truly a desperate situation and one which requires divine intervention. Psalm 91 is a word in season for these dear souls and for all who are tried and afflicted. Pastor Michael Pickett has recently expounded *verse 14 from this beautiful psalm in one of his more recent sermons, by which we have been greatly encouraged and comforted this Lord's Day!
Ps. 91:14:
"Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name."

I would add my 2cents to Junes post.
Mr. Willcock has a very sound biblical ministry and has many articles and books on the cult of Romanism.
His articles on Mandela are excellent.

The Media Myth and Global Cult of Nelson Mandela / by Shaun Willcock
Link: http://www.biblebasedministries.co.uk/2013/07/05/the-media-myth-and-global-cult-of-nelson-mandela/

Excerpt:
“The ugly truth about the world’s favourite terrorist-turned-politician, Nelson Mandela, has been buried deep beneath the media-created myth of the man, who for decades has been given such a whitewashing by the liberal/Socialist media that the real Mandela disappeared from the world’s eyes, and in his place appeared a messiah, a saviour, a demigod, whose only resemblance to the real Mandela was the outer shell. The man who emerged from prison and became president of South Africa was at heart the same man who had gone into prison so many years before, a Communist revolutionary, much older but just as committed to the ideology and the revolution as he had been when the prison gates slammed shut on him.”

Is hitler directly responsible for killing the Jews- is there any evidence that he directly killed a Jew ?

( found these facts on Internet...)

Politically Motivated Murders in South Africa from 1948 to 1994:

Blacks Murdered by Blacks:

21000 people were killed in political violence during the 46 years leading up to the elections in April 1994.

14000 of these 21000 people were killed from 1990 to 1994

In the same period, 8580 black South Africans were killed by other blacks South Africans.

Another 4902 were killed by unknown forces, but it is generally assumed that these killings were black on black politically motivated murders. (necklace murders)

The ANC was responsible for mobilising black South Africans to murder other blacks who they thought were working with the Apartheid government. See YouTube video below:
