That rumor is starting to spread again: the one that says your uncle was a monkey (OK, chimpanzee) and your aunt was a … pig?
Or more likely, vice versa, claims geneticist and species-hybridization scholar Eugene McCarthy.
Earlier this summer, McCarthy publicized on his website Macroevolution.net the notion that humans evolved from a distant-history cross of chimp and swine. The theory popped up again in newspapers around the world over the Thanksgiving weekend, thanks to London’s Daily Mail, which resurrected the story Nov. 30....
If that were true then the bible must be fibbing that humans were made from dust with the LORDs hands and He breathed into mans nostrils and gave us life,,,and woman was made from mans rib,,,why ppl dont read the bible i dont understand instead of making up such horrifying lies,,,thank you LORD for giving us life and for choosing the elect,,,at least we know the truth,,,and are going with you when we leave this world,,,the rest well they are going with their father satan,,,the LORD knows HIS true christians,,,
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
It is through faith we understand to the saving of our souls all the truth that God has revealed though still tainted with error and imperfectly, yet truly and faithfully and that not of ourselves it is a gift from God, not by works (like our better reasoning capacity then the scientists see 1 Cor. 1:18-31)
One question, where did the chimp and pig come from to mate? Why would they mate one time to form a human and no longer mate? Grasping at straws rather than face the truth, there is a God and He created this world and everything in it. Those who don't believe are trying to escape this fact because they know if they accept this fact then they are going to have to give an account of their lives and be judged accordingly by this God that created them.
As funny as this is, its the conclusion of a geneticist relying on the false asssumption of Evolution to explain what his research reveals. I dont want to make fun of him, because he is trying to reconcile what he sees w/evolution. Its so much better than the fantasy 'fact' of evolution by showing a poster where a single cell organism magically becomes a man after a few zillion years. After enough studies, maybe they will understand their assumption of evolution cant explain creation.
Just amazing when I try to comprehend their "willful ignorance", Will. You mentioned fossils. Do you know how the age of a fossil is determined? By the age of the sedimentary layer it's found in. Do you know how a sedimentary layer is aged? By the fossils found within. Circular reasoning. For me, the couple of areas that nail it for me, among several others are: irreducible complexity, and the chaos theory (I forget the specific word). There are so many things, but like you said, both sides have good arguments which is why there are so many old earth creationists. The problem for evolutionists is that many of its leaders are finally addressing much of the junk science, saying that the science just doesn't supoport the theory and they must look elsewhere. Unfortunately, for most, that elsewhere doesn't include God as a possibility, but rather, panspermia. Scientists, as an unspoken rule, must be athiests under pain of excommunication from the brotherhood. The supernatural is never an option.
Cont... by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and a set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how counter-intuitive, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated. Moreover, that materialism is an absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door. The eminent Kant scholar Lewis Beck used to say that anyone who could believe in God could believe in anything. To appeal to an omnipotent deity is to allow that at any moment the regularities of nature may be ruptured, that Miracles may happen.
Thanks Christopher. And yes, Romans 1 tells us that they are willfully ignorant. This isn't to say that they are not extremely smart people often or that the theory is not well developed, but they are ignorant and wrong simply. Thing is, both sides of this important arguments makes good sounding arguments and can sound correct. So, both sides approach with a prior ideology. However, Christians admit their prior view in interpreting facts, evolutionists pretend that the facts told them. Yeah, as if those fossils came with dates.
I think you'll appreciate this Richard lewontin quote that he admitted.
‘Our willingness to accept scientific claims that are against common sense is the key to an understanding of the real struggle between science and the supernatural. We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs, in spite of its failure to fulfill many of its extravagant promises of health and life, in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstantiated just-so stories, because we have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism. It is not that the methods and institutions of science somehow compel us to accept a material explanation of the phenomenal world, but, on the contrary, that we are forced by our a pri

And whose doing the distorting, Will? The creme of the intelligence crop. The brightest of the bright, the intellectuals. You would think they, of all people, would get it when comparing all the evidence. I think the bible has something to say about this...
That would be question number 637 on the list Christopher. Not quite sure how many numbers are on the list, but it's a bunch. It is extremely sad how much they have to distort the facts to make evolution look true. What's sadder is that this theory of Darwin's gave rise to eugenics, Margaret Sanger and planned parenthood, Karl Marx, hitler, Pol Pot, communist china (Mao), and Stalin. (To name a few). That's about a quarter of a billion or more people killed in the 20th century alone because people believe man came from apes and pigs. (Not what the scientific theory states explicitly, but the theory eliminates absolute morality, which these dictators believed and swayed ppl to believe their moral opinions, hence genocide)

You're not supposed to ask questions like that, Christopher.
My question has always been: if mankind evolved from apes, or a pig/ape combo, why isn't it still happening today? The evolutionists will say that the process takes billions of years, but even with that, it should be an ongoing process in which we should see these creatures of old evolving at any given moment.
