Paul Crouch, co-founder of Trinity Broadcasting Network, passed away Nov. 30, 2013, at the age of 79.
Announcement of his passing was made through the TBN Facebook page as well as by his grandson, Brandon Crouch.
Born in St. Joseph, Mo., on March 30, 1934, to Assemblies of God missionaries, Paul Crouch would later co-found TBN, which today has become America’s most watched faith network and the seventh largest group owner of broadcast TV stations in the U.S.
John UK wrote: Don't be misled by Jim. Here is the biblical position: 1 John 5:12 KJV 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. It is simple enough. Here are the two groups of people in the world. There are those who "hath" and there are those who "hath not". This is apostolic teaching not to be gainsaid. Christians have Jesus. Non-Christians do not have Jesus.
Here are the other two groups... ‚ÄúNot everyone who says to Me, ‚ÄėLord, Lord,‚Äô shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‚ÄėLord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?‚Äô And then I will declare to them, ‚ÄėI never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"...

I accept the five solas. And my Nephew and Niece In-Law from Tulare, California who are Pentecostal also accept the five solas. My Pentecostal Nephew and Niece In-Law from Tulare, California are better Christians then you are.
Wow, Google Speech is a lot fussier than Dragon Naturally Speaking! Unfortunately I can blame either since I'm at a keyboard.
The John MacArthur Sermon or actually the first chapter of his book is, Charismatic Chaos: Sermon 1 - "Are experiences a valid source of truth?". Long but good. [AUTHOR]J. C. Ryle[/AUTHOR]I warn then every one who loves his soul, to be very selective as to the preaching he regularly hears, and the place of worship he regularly attends. He who deliberately settles down under any ministry which is positively unsound is a very unwise man. I will never hesitate to speak my mind on this point. I know well that many think it a shocking thing for a man to forsake his local church. I cannot see with the eyes of such people. I draw a wide distinction between teaching which is defective and teaching which is thoroughly false; between teaching which errs on the negative side and teaching which is positively unscriptural. But I do believe, if false doctrine is unmistakably preached in a local church, a Christian who loves his soul is quite right in not going to that local church....[/QUOTE]The Fallibility of Ministers

Jim, I consider your backtrack on judging Johns relatives promising
Shane, Anaheim near Disney? You are up early to post. I know Schulers son and been to his facility in San Juan. I have never been to CC though and would only go to Garbage Grove for good Asian food
Penny, a quiz for you(or anyone else). I know you can spot masonic handshakes, so here is a sacred geometry question. Look at a Map of Disneyland and tell me what attraction sits in the honoured sacred position, as Walt was a 33rd degree mason
James, Thank you for posting, I think some people got the message

My mother grew up in Anaheim, California and graduated from Anaheim Union High School. Her parents had an orange grove back in the 1930's to 1950's.
Jim L., I accept the five solas and so do my Nephew and Niece In-Law and their children who reside in Tulare, California and who attend First Church of God of Tulare, California.
well, what I tried to say is that I shouldn't have done that first message with a tablet, and I probably would say that it'll probably be true for this message is well. But I didn't say all Johns relatives we're not Christian. Again in line with what John MacArthur said.they like everyone else would have to meet the minimum requirement of the five solas to be considered Christians.
Do John Y. charismatic relatives have the above beliefs? then one might consider them Christian. I think John MacArthur said it best, "But we must deal with it in line with 1 Thessalonians 5:21 and that is to examine it carefully. Determine what is true and what is not. Now, as we embark upon this examination, I want you to know at the very outset that I love my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ and I have no intent to convey anything other than love for them. I think in the movement, there are many who are not genuinely saved. I'm equally concerned about their salvation. My purpose is not to debate them, pitting our theology against theirs but to call them to the test of Scripture to drop what Amos called "the plumb line" to see if they are straight with the Word of God.
Jim, don't you think its a bit silly to claim Johns Pentecostal relatives are lost, having never met them. I don't agree with a lot of what the Pentecostal church teaches, but I would never assume everyone who goes there is lost. They are not all charismatic lunatics you know.
I drive by the tbn headquarters on occasion. It's not far from the crystal cathedral(ha, which is now the orange county,ca. Headquarters of the roman Catholic church). It looks like something that should be in Disneyland. Which is also very close to where I live(another ha).
You have got some nerve stating that my Nephew and Niece In-Law and their children who reside in Tulare, California and who are Pentecostals who attend First Church of God of Tulare, California are not saved. My Nephew and Niece In-Law are dedicated to Jesus.
Hi James, no matter what forum one may hang out in, no matter what focus or Bible group, etc, a person might take part in, there will always be differing opinions. I scrolled throught the thread and noticed Jim saying he might be in Hell, but other than that, I read more observations and facts than anything else. For me, I know the type of charlaitains he has had on in the past which surprises me now that I know much more about them, but other than that, I know nothing of the man. I'm sure he's done a lot of good and TBN consisted of other good content aside from some of his guests. For all I know, he had some of those people on once and then said never again. As for his spiritual status...far be it from me to ever judge and condemn anyone...
No, they don't John Y., you and your relatives --if you describe them correctly-- are not saved. To be saved you, have to repent.

Self-righteous attempts will never be sufficient to satisfy God's wrath against sin and payoff the debt incurred by sin.
This is why I stopped hanging out in here. That people would attack someone who just died is not following The Lord. Mark 9:38-39 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us:and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. But Jesus said, Forbid him not:for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up:for God is able to make him stand.

I don't know why you can't have fairly friendly, civil conversations like you have here on a consistent basis. Anyway, I 2nd your post and hope some good things happen because they have a perfect tool for spreading biblical truth, getting the message out for the persecuted, childrens education, etc. One thing I do remember is Mr Crouches seemingly blind support of Benny Hinn, letting him spew his nonscense over the airwaves, threaten those who speak out against him with his holy ghost machine gun, etc. Admittedly, its been a long time since I've watched so maybe things had been cleaned up.
