Bible is More Accessible Now Than Anytime in History; Work to Translate Into Every Tongue Hastens Jesus' Return?
The president of the largest Bible translation organization in the world says that more people than ever before can access the Bible in their own language, that translation programs for every native language in the world will be underway in twelve years, and that work to translate the Bible into every tongue brings us closer to the return of Jesus to earth.
"More people have access to scripture than at any other time in history," Bob Creson, president and CEO of Wycliffe Bible Translators USA, told The Christian Post in an interview on Friday. On Thursday, Wycliffe announced that 4.9 billion people can now read the Bible in their native language. Creson declared that by 2025, there will be "translation occurring in every community that needs it." Only 1,919 language groups still lack access to the Bible, and Creson expects that to drop below 1,900 soon....
The Wycliff group is dispensational; I wonder if they are objective in their translations or do they change the wording to support the cultish secret rapture theory? It is time for Christians to know that Christ is ruling now in the present.
great comments... I have heard it personally from people, they think this or that is required for Christ to come back (always something wore and American oriented) as if He's on our political time table.
the reason we would translate bibles and hand them out is because of our love for Christ and our lost neighbor... simple as that.
if we have other motives, be it the pretrib rapture to get us out of the bed we made, then perhaps we need to be out of the evangelism business.

With most audiences, your response should only receive ovation. However, for our group I want to note the difference. We are commanded to preach the Gospel throughout the World to every creature. We are NOT commanded to start wars or contribute to fleshy violence. My only apprehension of this Wycliff group would be the potential poor quality of these quickly translated Bibles.
