Christians 'face extinction' amid sectarian terror, minister warns

Christianity is in danger of becoming extinct in its ancient homelands because of a rising tide of sectarian attacks, a senior minister will warn on Friday.

Violence against Christian worshippers and other religious minorities by fanatics has become a “global crisis” and is the gravest challenge facing the world this century, Baroness Warsi will say.

“A mass exodus is taking place, on a Biblical scale. In some places, there is a real danger that Christianity will become extinct,” she will say at a speech at Georgetown University in Washington. ...

No revenge spirit...RC is a religion that is not biblical Christianity.it is a works based salvation from paganism mixed with Christianity.
That is the truth...deal with it

these are muslem countries, and we are supposed to think they advertise their denominations in mega churches? evangelicals are there, and there are some in the formal churches as well. but evangelicals are being kept from their testimonies.

I've been part of international communities much of my life, and known people in these lands....

there used to be western Baptist churches in some of these areas, and they left for reasons other than what is often said.... and so the witness is not heard... and so we can just say its heathen against heathen.... and we care more about the innocent Jews of WWII, as we should care for them.... but they were not believers. we really are a generation that does not love our own.

truth is the Catholics are getting better information on what is happening. evangelicals do not have representation, because we won't represent them. evangelicals are acting like the RCC of the dark ages. I guess its ok if we think that we are funding such things, if its the RCC that gets a lot of the brunt of it??? is this a revenge spirit?

Chris, you name a group that claims to be Christian, they are SteveR's people

If all are accepted because they have a form of Christ/Godliness what was the purpose of the seven letters to the seven churches? Maybe I'm the one who doesn't know the purpose, so let me know, but it came to mind.

I stand corrected. I haven't read the Apocrypha neither do I watch movies.

No need for a second strike.

SteveR, you have some excellent points, so I know you have some bible background, but why would you defend the false teachings of the Vatican? and why here?

if its not defending one form of idolatry, its another!

The Russians lost everything with the Communist Revolution. We don't talk about that one much, and as I study it, I can see why. Now that Christianity is starting to come back, and Russia is watching the US destroy itself from within, Putin is being counseled from Greek Ortodox.... and that is why when this global movement that includes surveillance and sodomy rghts, comes into town, they do not allow it.

so be it Babylonian rome, Babylonian judiasm or Babylonian masons, we cannot follow Babylon..... and we must love the brethren and not our affiliations.

I think of Corrie ten Boom. she was reform in theology (that is she didn't have false am teaching of two people of God), she believed Christians suffer in the tribulation, but when Jewish refugees came through she took care of them.

and when our own are eliminated, because a catholic church is burned down simultaneously, we care not. that is antichrist spirit.

I know the subject was introduced by SteveR in some ways, but in others not.
How can I explain this? I'm not for the word Protestant, but as a counter to RCC, ok, think of it this way... if we believe the mantel of the Spirit has left the Vatican, and we are teaching the true faith, with it comes responsibilies to preserve the Word of God and have a message in this world that represents Christ (not misrepresenting).... because we are saying its been left to us.
this is a high calling, the highest in fact!
so we cannot run around like frustrated stepchildren, defensive victims of Babylonian rome.
if we are the church, then we are not lackeys of Babylonian Judaism either.
that is to say, we will love the brethren, and we will preserve the testimony of the scriptures for the next generation.
but if we do not, the mantel will move once again...
now what pastor will love the brethren of sy, to say something...
You must understand, unlike you they hate the RCC more than than Jews & Masons

I challenge you to read the entire Scriptures from cover to cover multiple times with an UNBIASED mind(Yes it might take a year & 6 chapters a day). Pretend your mind hasnt been tainted with certain views of history, Church and State. Put aside your disadain for other denominations and allow ONLY the HOLY GHOST to be your guide.
Chris, there are some major flaws in his proposition. It's based on the assumption that Christians don't worship God in private and in family morning and evening, that they do not read from the Old and New Testaments 4xaday. Also that Protestant History is insignificant but not the Apocrypha. That the Scripture itself actually allows for divisions in a preceptive sense. Scripture in a providencial sense allows it to prove in time whose doctrine is correct. Ephesians 4 is clear when Christ ascended on high and led captivity captive, he gave gifts to men. The gift he gave to the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists and now Pastor/Teachers is the Holy Spirit. Their gift is to bring unity and maturity to the body of Christ. This is truth. Truth has been abused by backsliding, it is nevertheless still true and we all need to repent for our part in the sad state of true Protestantism backslid

The Apocrypha books are not inspired. There is nothing wrong with reading a Catholic Bible if one does not read the Apocrypha. I read a Catholic Bible but I don't read the Apocrypha books. I also own and read the King James Version Bible.

Judah 'BenHer' and the Roman Navy were not spared in a battle with Macedonian Pitrates in the Apocrypha. (I guess I should be happy it wasnt attributed to a battle in 1 Kings in the land of Ephraim.}

I am, of course, refering to the 1959 movie adaptation of Lew Wallaces Epic of Ben Hur, to make a point I bought you a vowel and spelled the name of Hestons lead character as Judah Ben HER.

btw: I encourage the reading of at least 1st and 2nd Machabees in the Apocrypha

Don't tell me SteveR is trying to point out the fun points of What Does the Roman Catholic Church Teach About the
Doctrine of Justification?—Part One
, But since Roman Catholics, Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses, justification by works, they are already an anathema to God All Christians know that Justification is By Faith Alone

Ah, who cares what Augustine said, SteveR? He was certainly an inferior theologian to Calvin -- but what neither man said is canon, and of course The Pope and the Papacy are completely fallacious being an invention of Satan.

We look at Catholic church's influence around the World, I pointed how the U.S., was influenced by this apostate church in the thread, "Catholic Bishops Are Urged to Expand Priorities," to be involved wars, one can see Catholicism's Influence in Europe's Future also.

if you read carefully you will find the RCC maintains more of Gods Sovereignty in Salvation than your garden vareity Arminian Protestant.

2) Further, it bears more of a commentary role and opinion unlike the Protestant ones that are a substitution of truth like RCC 1994
"1994 Justification is the most excellent work of God’s love made manifest in Christ Jesus and granted by the Holy Spirit. It is the opinion of St. Augustine that “the justification of the wicked is a greater work than the creation of heaven and earth,” because “heaven and earth will pass away but the salvation and justification of the elect... will not pass away.”43 He holds also that the justification of sinners surpasses the creation of the angels in justice, in that it bears witness to a greater mercy.(312)"

3)
Judah BenHer and the Roman Navy were spared in the battle w/the Macedonian pirates?

What utter nonsensicle drivel

1) Armins is really the core of Romanism. Don't know why we pander to either as biblical!

2)How does Rome define JUSTIFICATION?

Rome does not have "MANY unscriptural doctrines" as some are saying here.
Rome has NONE, ZERO scriptural components! Satan is very deceptive and clever - just like Stevie.

3)The devil did it
