Should Christians Read the Qur'an?
In each of the five daily prayers, my father recited aloud portions of the Qur'an. His cadence was spellbinding. By age 5, I had finished reciting the entire Qur'an in Arabic and memorized its final seven chapters.

My experience was not unusual. The Qur'an is the linchpin of the Islamic worldview—the basis of Muhammad's prophetic claims, the foundation of Shari'a law, and the common denominator among all Muslims. It is the most frequently recited book in the world, and for Muslims, it is the closest thing to the Word made flesh.

So it is with due gravity that whenever Christians ask me whether they should read the Qur'an, I answer with an emphatic "no." ...

If you do read the Qu'ran don't pass up the verses mentioned in this article, Does the Qur’an Teach Hate? :-7

Actually, I don't bring up the Romish Church in every discussion, well, except if I see John Y., on, and apparently SteveR now, in which of course I point out, Come Out Of The Catholic Church! But, the Romish Church added false verses known as the Apocrypha, to back up many of their false beliefs, q.v., The Apocrypha and ... Canon #1, The Apocrypha and ... Canon #2,The Apocrypha and ... Canon #3, The Apocrypha and ... Canon #4 , The Apocrypha and ... Canon #5 ,and The Apocrypha and ... Canon #6 .

If you know the diabolical history of the author of the Qur'an, and his propensity towards perversion, it should make the majority of Christian's run from it like the plague.
The greater need for professing Christian's is spending more time in the Word of God. That is our greatest weapon against falsehood.

Deuteronomy 7:25 The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God.

Deuteronomy 7:26 Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

I read my qur'an. Not daily. I do read any of the Hadiths. It's nice not to be ignorant to Islam and what Muslims believe in order to reason with them. We are taught to beware such religions and philosophies of this world...but how can one beware unless he is first made aware? If people want to claim that Islam is not a religion of peace and Allah is not the same as Yahweh then they need to pick up the book and read it. Before a man enters a debate he doesn't study what he believes. He studies what is opponent believes. My brethren, in malice be like children, but in understanding be like men.

Yes, Christians certainly should read the Qur'an and know what it teaches and be familiar with its worldview. Christians should be aware of what other beliefs teach, and be able to engage with them.

The best English translation currently is the Oxford World's Classic edition, which is readable and faithful to the original. (Some translations tend to sanitize the text.)

James White has a new book on the Qur'an which is helpful and well written. I recommend it as a guide to the complex world of Islam and the Qur'an.

John 17:17 "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."

Gods word is true and Holy

Islam is satanic

The qur'an is satanic

Therefore Christians should not read it.
