Experts: Parents 'Clueless' on Dangers of Technology
Experts say parents are "clueless" about the harmful effects too much technology has on their kids. According to pediatricians, parents need to take back control of high tech entertainment.

Many kids spend more time looking at a screen than they do anything else, including school and sleep. Easy access to TV, video games, smartphones or tablets makes this not only possible, but also probable.

For children between the ages of 8 and 18 that adds up to an average of seven hours a day. Even babies are plugged in, with 40 percent under age 2 having used a smartphone or tablet. ...

I believe there were other husband and wife teams on the Andy Griffith Show. The Middle on ABC on Wednesday night is a family oriented show.

John Y, ignore Thomas, he just wants to ridicule you. I hope you don't see me as hateful when we debate Catholicism, because I care about you, and just trying to show you how its not of God.

The town drunk on the Andy Griffith Show was married and there was another married couple on there also.

I'm not sure technology is all that safe for adults, either, in a different sense. The mania for Automating & Networking All of Life exposes us to every software crook on the planet, requiring paranoia worthy of the Gestapo or KGB, & every whim of upgrade-happy software vendors who reinvent the wheel incessantly instead of merely sifting out software defects, as they ought to be doing. We now laugh at the old auto industry's Annual Model Change, but it's no different really.

And I'm afraid of getting killed by some idiot who drives his cell phone instead of his car. Do we really need to be connected to everyone 24/7?

Eric... Interesting question. I rarely watched andy Griffith, but now that you present that question, I don't recall any. I could be wrong though. Like I said I rarely watched it

Let's face it, and be honest. The technologies of today give all of us(adults and kids) way more opportunities for sin. Way more than 20-30 years ago even. Tv is filthy now, video games are filthy, one click of the mouse on your computer and you see the wrong things that can change you forever. It can be nothing short of idolatry.

The Andy Griffith Show is a wholesome family program. Another family oriented program that is on ABC on Wednesday's at 7pm Central is The Middle.
