Ben Carson compares Obamacare to slavery
Dr. Ben Carson, a conservative commentator and neurosurgeon, on Friday likened the health care law to slavery.

“Obamacare is really, I think, the worst thing to happen to the nation since slavery,” Carson said, speaking at the Values Voter Summit. “And it is slavery, in a way.”

Anne, may the Lord be praised for using you to expose the false teachings of SDA. As I read your comment, I saw nothing unkind at all. The accusations by John Jones are far from being accurate.
John Jones, if you follow the false teachings and salvation by works taught by your religion, you will not be in heaven. You must be born again, and that is not attainable by any religion, method, or work. Salvation is all of grace, given by God as His gift to whom He elects to save. Ephesians 2:8-9 clearly teaches how salvation is given, and how.
Christ died for the ungodly, making atonement for the sins of those who believe solely in Him. Those who trust in Him completely for the redemption of their souls, and not one thing else - no added work, no co-redeemer - these are the ones who will spend eternity with their Jehovah God. Only a heart changed by God can completely trust in Him.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ

John Jones, not bitter by any means, simply given to a clear mind and correct theology and I am certainly not there yet. But I sure am loving the journey! I will not be using the Clear Word Bible. (It should bother you that the SDA's had to come out with their own Bible. Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses and Catholics had to do the same to push false doctrines. This should be a warning sign to you.)

"And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made." (Genesis 2:2, 3 KJV)

Please tell me where this says anything about the Sabbath, worship or Adam and Eve resting. The word Shabbat doesn't appear until Exodus where God has "madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant" (Nehemiah 9:14 KJV). He had to MAKE KNOWN HIS holy Sabbath. They didn't know it John because they weren't keeping it.

To say more than, or read into, what Genesis says is adding to the Scriptures. I too loved this idea of the Sabbath and it being a seal (there are two other seals - circumcision and Passover); but it turns

Anne. Parts of your are bitter. Perhaps you've had a bad experience with someone. I am surprise that you claim to know so much but hardly with any substance. I don't know who taught you the unadulterated Biblical doctrines of Seventh-day Adventistism but you appear to need a refreshers course. I am afraid you sound empty and need of help. Have you found something better than what you are bashing or are you just bitter. Why have you gone on this path staying from the original issues of politics and theology?

You will find freedom from trying to win your own salvation outside of that cult.

John Jones, I was born and raised in the SDA church - Berrien Springs to be exact. I am not expressing here-says; I am telling you that after being raised in it, teaching in it, attending acadamies in the who's-who of SDA schools and graduating from Union College I am more qualified to speak against this church than most. I know its in's and outs; I know its skeletons and I know its fiction. Yes, they claim Christ and the Trinity. Thank the Lord there is more to the Bible than that because everything else is built on a false prophetess, false teachings, failed history, salvation by works, excuses and heresy. Should we start with Ellen? How about Battle Creek, MI? Should we start with the 7th day Sabbath? How about the OT health laws? How about alcohol? Jesus and Michael? The reason behind the Tower of Babel? Investigative Judgement? Hell? Women elders? Soul Sleep? The Great Tribulation? But I will not convince you of one single, solitary thing because you must first be willing to be honest and that is so very, very difficult to do - once you do, the whole house will start to fall down. "Not corrupted by false teachings"... I will truly add you to my prayers that God will open your eyes and show you that He is not in the SDA circles. You will find freedom from

I've had the pleasure of visiting and speaking with Mr. Carson a number of times; a very kind man and sincere in his desire to serve God. He is indeed a Seventh-Day Adventist and professes his faith in EG White (as a Catholic does for Mary and the Saints) and holds the OT health laws is the highest regard. I have met many kind and sincere Mormons, Roman Catholics and Jehovah Witnesses - sincerity does not mean correct understanding of doctrines of faith. He still belongs to a cult and for that his words should always be checked against the truth of Scripture before we too fall into the soul-fatal trap of mixing fact with SDA theology.
Very well said Anne; your comment was a blessing to me. I have raised your issues before and got lots of flack, so I'm glad someone else is addressing those concerns. When a Muslim blows himselves up, they were in fact sincerely wrong.

if it is so good, they wouldn't have to force it on people. the fruit of humanism right here. I thought it was about freedom! and yet, the need to control others, against their own nature and faith.

Is this a joke? If not, then with all due respect ma'am, what does their skin color have to do with the debate? You may be joking, but it is very hard to tell behind a computer screen...

Dr. Carson you are a man of God raised in an Adventist tradition, given your understanding of the times we are living, you should use your retirement to promote your faith which as you confessed brought you success instead of being sucked into divisive politics.

There are countless things worse than obamacare that have happened in America since slavery. Hint: 3000 a day of these are murdered in America. Too many Christians are anxious about Obamacare because the want a utopia now...like the Jews who wanted to get rid of the Romans when Jesus arrived on the scene.
