Record-Setting Blizzard Killed 75,000 Cows
Ranchers are still digging out thousands of their cattle that became buried in a record-setting snowstorm in South Dakota late last week and over the weekend.

One would think the death of 75,000 cows by upwards of five feet of snow might get some national attention, but as one blogger observed, it has taken some time for the news of the precipitation massacre to reach outside of local media.

“I searched the national news for more information. Nothing. Not a single report on any of major news sources that I found. Not CNN, not the NY Times, not MSNBC,” Dawn Wink wrote Tuesday. “I thought, ‘Well, it is early and the state remains without power and encased in snow, perhaps tomorrow.’ So I checked again the next day. Nothing. It has now been four days and no national news coverage.”

Wink dubbed it “The Blizzard that Never Was.” ...

Mike of N.Y., no, of course I don't expect you to run across every report of this happening, I know I don't, and I just happened to watch the CBS News last night and they had a report on this, 100,000 cattle feared dead after early South Dakota snowstorm (video). So, the information is out there.

It's fly-over country. And its a red state. Surprising anyone would expect the death-culture oriented msm would care anyway. On the other hand, had someone shot a cow with an M16, that might have been noticed.

Ah, yes, the one suffering from foot in mouth disease all I did was give additional information on this disaster, Note, in this case I didn't say anything about Judgment By Natural Disasters, though of course, it shows that even in areas --that are surprising not isolated from human sin-- God can give a wake-up call. If memory serves, no human lives were lost, but cattlemen like there animals well-treated by themselves, so this would be an emotional experience for them.

Quite true, Anne. I saw from one story the number of cattle deaths were closer to 100,000. [state] Senator Al Davis - Impact of Early Winter Storm.

"For He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." (Matthew 5:45)

While God undoubtedly control and sends all thing, there are those who would be needing our prayers right now as their entire operation has been devastated.

Even a --relatively-- upstanding area like South Dakota, needs to have God brought to their attention, The Role of God in Natural Disasters.
