Crazy ways the Obama administration is maximizing the shutdown pain
The government shutdown doesnât mean all facets of government grind to a halt. In fact, only a small percentage of the governmentâs 4.4 million employees have been ordered to stay home from work. Many government functions continue uninterrupted. And the Obama administration has some discretion in how painful it wants the shutdown to be. The following list includes some gratuitous examples of heavy-handed closures, delays, and forced sacrifices.
We donât need your help. Before police chased him away, chain-saw sculptor Chris Cox spent several days tidying up the grounds around the Washington, D.C. memorials. The South Carolina resident emptied overflowing trash cans, used his chain saw to clear a branch from the path on the reflecting pool, and cleared trails with a leaf blower. He was mowing the lawn at the Lincoln Memorial on Wednesday when he attracted a crowd. He told them, âThe building...
Everything that be lamented for being shut down was fully funded by the house in the budget the sent 2x to the democratically controlled senate. That funded even was threatened to be vetoed by the president. If you have a problem with the so called government shut down blame the democrats they rejected its funding. They wouldn't even pass partial funding.
This "Shutdown" by the US Government is a strange phenomena to other nations. Here in the UK the politicians could go on permanent holiday but the civil service and other public departments connected with the running of the country wouldn't even blink an eyebrow in response. What does the daily running of the nations public departments have to do with a bunch of politicians?
Im really disappointed with the NWO alarmists that occasionally stop by this messageboard when their medications run low. Here we have a government shutdown, potential default police state and all they can warn us about is Vatican coinage
Let me add to the list. My husband is in the military. National Guard to be specific. His job requires him to be a service member and to wear a uniform everyday. We were furloughed last Tuesday. We were recalled this week. When my husband returned to work he was informed that he will not be paid for being there, and to top it off, there are no funds to work. They must report to work everyday and do nothing until the shutdown is over. All these DOD civilians and technicians that were recalled this week are NOT getting paid. It was a farce from our government to make it look like they were relieving our situation, when, in fact, it has been made worse. Any hope for temporary employment has been taken away from us.
