Vatican Misspells Jesus’ Name on Papal Medal

A medal issued by the Vatican commemorating Pope Francis’ first year as the Bishop of Rome included a rather glaring spelling error, a typo of Biblical proportions.

Engraved with the Latin phrase that the pope says inspired him to join the priesthood as a young man, Italy’s state mint misspelled the name of Jesus, calling the son of God Lesus instead.

The medals, of which 6,000 were pressed in silver and bronze and another 200 in gold, have now been recalled. The design included a portrait of Pope Francis on the obverse and on the reverse a work by the artist Mariangela Crisciotti. ...

Considering how much the Romish Church apes (and quite poorly) the Pharisees of Jesus' time, Roman Catholic Authority, One would think they would have went with a Hebrew spelling of "Jesus," (in English form, "Yeshua,") which has no "J" in its alphabet either, "Jesus /Je´sus/ (j?´z?s), n. [L. Jesus, Gr. ?, from Heb. Y?sh?a'; Y?h Jehovah + h?sh?a' to help.]"--Webster's 1913 Dictionary.

Testimonies from ex-Roman Catholic Priests, shows that Jesus probably isn't of even secondary importance of the witchdoctor cult of Roman Catholicism.

Whats in a name?

To the true Christian everything.

But in a quote "church" which is notorious for its latin mass, this particular spelling mistake is a very telling error. Perhaps "Lesus" is the god they call down in the mass.

Sounds plausible to me. Look at Roman monuments to also see where V is used instead of U (probably easier to engrave). Even original Geneva Bible & 1611 KJV pages are hard to read now because of many archaic letter substitutions, which includes I used for J.

So many people have trouble spelling, let's not single out the Vatican for blame here; they have far more serious issues. It's like mocking Hitler's mustache.

Someone at the Vatican is in trouble, but not for the spelling but rather the number. Imagine that, minting only 600 of the 666 intended.
