With GOP Help, Senate Restores Funding for ObamaCare
Despite pressure from conservative Republicans, most notably Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), on Friday the Senate passed a continuing resolution (CR) that restores funding for ObamaCare, with nearly two dozen Republican senators helping it on its way. The fate of ObamaCare is now back in the hands of the House of Representatives, led by Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio).
The key vote concerned cloture, which closes debate on a bill and allows it to be amended and brought up for a final vote. In his 21-hour speech earlier this week, Cruz had urged fellow Republicans not to vote for cloture even though the CR under consideration, which had already passed the House, did not contain funding for ObamaCare. Cruz and other conservatives such as Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) feared — justifiably so, it turns out — that once cloture was achieved, Democrats would amend the CR to restore funding for the healthcare law.
Ah, I forgot that my pastor, did have a sermon for those Evangelicals who want to ape the liberal churches and concentrate on legalism rather than Christianity! As I said, he has not only spoken about abortion, which may not show up in a sermon description, but other topics as well. I have, for example, pointed out in his series of sermons on the Book of Hebrews. There was little on no mention of his sharp attacks on works salvation of Catholics and Protestants, q.v., e.g., Roman Catholics, Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses. Just yesterday in his sermon, he went into some details on the anti-Christian nature of the Romish Church, though this time he put it at the end of his sermon, since quite accurately, that was not central in teaching the Word. Some churches have to stop to being "Christian" mosques, and start being actual churches, they need to learn The Inadequacy of Moralism
Ah, like my message done from my tablet that has Google speech recognition? It isn't as good as speech recognition on an IBM using Dragon Naturally Speaking, however.
I didn't see anywhere in the Bible, that abortions we're supposed to be the main topic the sermons. I was suppose with all the criminal activity in Washington DC, your pastor must have attacked greed every other week. My pastor spends his time explaining the Bible and not being and arm of a political party.
but, you know there's one thing you can do and others who I've used this as a rallying cry for a larger political agenda, is to contact their congressmen and I have just the funding for abortion in the healthcare plan to be removed. This way the Republicans can look like they are taking a moral high ground, rather than being there typical greedy selves.

They should try to find a different means in getting abortion removed from the ACA, anyway, you can read the statesmanlike remarks, President Obama made yesterday, FULL TRANSCRIPT: President Obama’s Sept. 27 remarks on looming government shutdown, Iran His comments on the funding bill starts on page two.
Ah, you mean the demagogues didn't have their way?
Webster's 1913 Dictionary wrote: Demagogue:
A leader of the rabble; one who attempts to control the multitude by specious or deceitful arts; an unprincipled and factious mob orator or political leader.
