Pope ex-communicates rebel priest

Dissident priest Greg Reynolds has been both defrocked and excommunicated over his support for women priests and gays - the first person ever excommunicated in Melbourne, he believes.

The order comes direct from the Vatican, not at the request of Melbourne Archbishop Denis Hart, and apparently follows a secret denunciation in the best traditions of the inquisition, according to Father Reynolds.

The excommunication document - written in Latin and giving no reason - was dated May 31, meaning it comes under the authority of Pope Francis who made headlines on Thursday calling for a less rule-obsessed church. ...

I forgot to mention, not just this priest, but all Romish priests should be fired, since the Romish priesthood is blasphemous, listen to Nullifying the Gospel's Saving Power and read The Scandal of the Catholic Priesthood.

You have no idea what you are pontificating about. That wasnt and still isnt an exclusive 'full preterist' viewpoint.
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Does Daniel 9:27 speak of the seventieth week or not?

Does the second resurrection come immediately after the seventieth week or not?

Oh, btw, nice condemnation verse. You run a close second to Tony Lopez Cisneros.

Christians threw out popes long ago in the past,
John MacArthur wrote:
John Calvin, 1509 to 1564, "Some persons think us too severe and censorious when we call the Pontiff Antichrist, but those who are of this opinion do not consider that they bring the same charge of presumption against Paul himself after whom we speak and whose language we adopt. I shall briefly show that Paul's words in 2 Thessalonians 2 are not capable of any other interpretation than that which implies them to the Papacy."
excerpt from, The Pope and the Papacy. Two sermons that take a look at the present Pope, Jesus Christ, Our One & Only High Priest and
Requirements of Every High Priest
.

Pity this priest couldn't've been a Christian martyr, and had made a Pilgrimage From Rome. His present anti-Christian beliefs he would have been even more quickly tossed out of any Bible-believing church quicker than the Romish one.

Dan 9:24-27.
"We have, in verses 24-27, one of the most remarkable prophecies of Christ, of his coming and his salvation. It shows that the Jews are guilty of most obstinate unbelief, in expecting another Messiah, so long after the time expressly fixed for his coming. The seventy weeks mean a day for a year, or 490 years. About the end of this period a sacrifice would be offered, making full atonement for sin, and bringing in everlasting righteousness for the complete justification of every believer. Then the Jews, in the crucifixion of Jesus, would commit that crime by which the measure of their guilt would be filled up, and troubles would come upon their nation. All blessings bestowed on sinful man come through Christ's atoning sacrifice, who suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God. Here is our way of access to the throne of grace, and of our entrance to heaven. This seals the sum of prophecy, and confirms the covenant with many; and while we rejoice in the blessings of salvation, we should remember what they cost the Redeemer. How can those escape who neglect so great salvation!" (M.Henry)

Preterism is RC. Follow Calvin to Rome.

And for the Biblically illiterate that just posted, Calvin on Daniel 9:27 "The angel now continues his discourse concerning Christ by saying, he should confirm the treaty with many for one week This clause answers to the former, in which Christ is called a Leader. Christ took upon him the character of a leader, or assumed the kingly office, when he promulgated the grace of God. This is the confirmation of the covenant of which the angel now speaks."
Other Reformers agreed with Calvin. Only in recent years have the reprobates been beguiled to believe something 'new'

Steve R you talk about misunderstanding what true faith really is, all the while supporting Roman Catholicism which is based on works. The size of population in Rome or Vatican city is irrelevant because the Vatican controls a religion that currently had a billion plus members. Read revelation 17, it perfectly describes Roman Catholicism.
Of course your zeal for Roman Catholicism will undoubtedly skew your judgment.

Yes, I agree with your thoughts. The RCC is in fact the great whore spoken of in Revelations. They will in fact support the antichrist as he sets up his one world government and then ironically enough, the vatican will in fact be destroyed by this man.

The fact that one of satan's emissaries is coming against another of satan's emissaries is simply satan confusing those who are undiscerning.

You do err not knowing the Scriptures or the power of God, your best course of action would to be not comment on theological issues and let people think you might be able to rightly divide the Word of truth, then to speak up and remove all doubt and see that you obviously cannot.

Easy?
Im always amused when dispensationsalists claim others dont take Revelation literally enough, then claim Vatican City {population 557} fulfills Rev 18. Why do you let your hostility towards the Bishop of Rome cloud your judgment? Why err like the self appointed religious zealots of the 1st century and completely misunderstand what true Faith really is? They thought Rome was their enemy too, however it was their own flesh.

27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.” (NIV)

"The Antichrist will be responsible for the signing of a 7 year covenant or peace treaty with the nation Israel."

The Antichrist will arrive in a future century.
