Solar activity drops to 100-year low, puzzling scientists

Predictions that 2013 would see an upsurge in solar activity and geomagnetic storms disrupting power grids and communications systems have proved to be a false alarm. Instead, the current peak in the solar cycle is the weakest for a century.

Subdued solar activity has prompted controversial comparisons with the Maunder Minimum, which occurred between 1645 and 1715, when a prolonged absence of sunspots and other indicators of solar activity coincided with the coldest period in the last millennium. ...

The interesting thing is, if it were a hundred year high in solar activity, I believe most Christians would say the same thing they say about the hundred year low.

Yes bro, methinks it will also. We are at that point in history, and should prepare for the tribulation. God's people must needs be willing to be identified with him actually as well as legally and spiritually, and I think this will result in God's grace being poured out in abundance on his people, as well as his wrath being poured out on his enemies. We have nothing to fear, while the world will be fearful.

Scientists will be unable to explain to the gullible public what is happening when those vials are tipped up, and the contents poured out upon the earth.

It always puzzles me why the entire Christian church is not out on the streets letting people know all about these mind-boggling phenomena. After all, it's only Christians that know about this and subsequent events. No-one should be caught napping, even if they still continue in impenitence, at least they would know whatever is going on.

There was a time when sandwich-board men would unashamedly walk the streets with their message: THE COMING OF THE LORD DRAWETH NIGH. Trouble is, there is hardly a church in the world now which would support such an endeavour.

Whatever happened?

Oh, I guess the devil gotten the church to remodel the Christian faith into something it never was nor should be.

Now if Fred Phelps and his Merry Men could get shot of some excesses, they might do a great job of reforming the church and forcing the wheat to start behaving like wheat instead of tares. At least then - maybe - we that are the redeemed might begin to be hated by the world in the manner we should be. Every once-born should hate all the twice-born. But it just ain't happening.

Mea culpa.

Anne, from the Wild West; I agree. God is definitely in control of His creation and will do and allow only what is according to His good pleasure. Aren't the new heavens and the new earth going to be wonderful!

[22] While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. (Gen 8:22 KJV)

[16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: [17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (Col 1:16-17 KJV)

[2] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; [3] Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; (Hbr 1:2-3 KJV)

[7] But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (2Pe 3:7 KJV)

Revelation 21:1

Calm before the storm, I'd say. The sun unleashed a terrific EMP blast the last time it did this. The Earth was turned a hairs-breathe away from the direct hit. There is one single little spot right now (AR 1841) and they're watching it's movements, trying to predict where the sun might aim it's next "outburst". He who controls the wind and waves and tells the sun and moon to rise and set, I suspect He will do as He pleases, regardless of our scientific predictions.
