Georgia Senate Candidate Laments ‘Making $172,000′ in Congress
In a closed meeting today, Rep. Phil Gingrey, R-Ga., who is also running for Senate, lamented that he is “stuck here making $172,000 a year” in Congress.

Several lawmakers expressed their concern about potentially having to pay this portion of their health care themselves if the OPM ruling is repealed.

“Before you support this, go home and talk to your spouse,” Rep. Frank Lucas, R-Okla., said.

Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, said reversing the OPM ruling could cost him $12,000 a year. “That’s a burden. And it’s a burden on our staff, too,” he said. ...

Mike of N.Y., his party affiliation perhaps isn't too relevant, and this isn't even saying this fellow is suffering from The Record of Republican Corruption, the slate magazine article somewhat puts the onus on the members of both parties. I don't think the Democratic Party is the party of God, and I sure don't think the Republican Party is either.

This just can't be pointed out enough about --any-- political party:

1 Corinthians 6
9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.---NASB

If he's conservative, I hope he wins the Senate seat. Lib-Dems are indeed a sorry lot. They make a living convincing people it's ok to tax them, as long as they give them back a little of it. Making gifts to folks of their own money, and still they get to stay in office!

His party affiliation isn't too relevant. Perhaps he's just jealous that there are more millionaire Democrats than Republicans. He sounds like a candidate for a RINO slot.

All too often people try to put politicians on white horses, God put them in their positions, for his purposes, not for ours. Remember King Saul? David always respected his position as God's anointed.

But are they often power and money hungry in this country, the answer is a resounding yes, there is no party of God in this country, as these Republicans in the above article and perhaps one slightly more detailed points out, GOP Rep Whines That He's "Stuck Here Making $172,000 a Year" This verse should set your thinking straight, if it needs it.

Isaiah 56
11 And the dogs are greedy, they are not satisfied. And they are shepherds who have no understanding; They have all turned to their own way, Each one to his unjust gain, to the last one.---NASB
