Now, Lizarda Urena is back at Concord High School, but praying silently for 10 to 15 minutes each morning after signing in as a visitor, according to the Concord Monitor.

“I’m so happy that I’m back, and I feel like I’m welcomed by the school,” Urena told the Monitor Tuesday, noting she is praying “very silently.” ...

Hey Tina...interesting how the times have changed, insomuch that now the mere mention of Christ within a public forum causes people to gasp in utter shock and horror. What's also interesting is how, in this brave new world, Christians are being sued in court for standing on Biblical principles; the same Biblical principles that this country was founded upon. How times have changed...

Once when my daughter was in elementary school she won an award and was presented it at a school assembly and I was invited to say something at it. I mentioned our faith in Jesus Christ and I heard a woman do a sharp intake of breath. Actually I said "our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ". Oh well once I said it what could they say about it. And for career day we asked our pastor to come & he did!

Now if we could get them to ban teaching lies out loud at school. Amazing what folks get offended at, isn't it?
That is so true Mike, the school wouldn't need so much money, and the days would be a lot shorter!!

Matthew 6:
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

I just wonder how effective her prayer was in the first place. There is no more powerful weapon that a Christian has than prayer. We should follow our Lords example!!!
