Remember the Early ’70s, Jesus-Movement Rapture Flick ‘A Thief in the Night’?
If you’ve ever had any theological interest in the Christian phenomenon known as the “rapture”—in which believers in Christ all over the world ascend to heaven in an instant, signaling the end times—then you’ve probably watched (bell-bottoms in tow) “A Thief in the Night.”

The low-budget early ’70s movie was screened to millions of Christians in churches around the world and in many ways captures the post-hippie, apocalyptic spirit of the “Jesus Movement” era.

J4J too bad I can include the chart! You might find something like that in various printed articles, But for how the various Resurrections are interlinked, I would suggest that you listen to Gil's sermon on, The Resurrections in Scripture The summary for the sermon can give you a printed outline of the four Resurrections.

Thanks for the link, I am in process of looking it all over. However, I still see 1 Thess 4:16-17 talking about a post-trib Ressurection where those who believed in Christ are resurrected first and then those believers who are alive and left will be changed and meet up with Jesus and the others in the air. This happens at Christ return at the end of the Tribulation.

J4J I would suggest you peruse, ESCHATOLOGY--Different Rapture Views, especially since you want to take an amillennial view. Greg Rugh does a fine job of not only explaining why there will be a Rapture, but a premillennial one at that

There are of course some sermons supporting pre-trib rapture Evidence for the Pre-Trib Rapture part 1 and Evidence for the Pre-Trib Rapture part 2

I think I agree with you, except for the term "rapture". I think the Bible only calls it the Resurrection. It happens in Revelations 21.

ALL Christians believe in a Rapture, the distinction is when. The 'secret' Rapture discussed in that movie is a heretical cultish teaching that proclaims it happens 7 (in some variations 3.5) years before the last day...The Day of Christ. These heretical cults(like Jim Lincolns) would rather disregard huge sections of Scripture than reject this end time deceit

Isn't it interesting that even non-Christians (the Blaze isn't a Christian website) are pondering the return of Jesus Christ and would consider it in the context of it will indeed be real but will essentially surprise everyone when it happens because 'no one knows the hour', a thought that can move people to want to be ready for it when it surely happens, because it will.

Much to think and pray about here.

(NOT a blanket endorsement of the group Glad, just that this is IMHO an excellent song)
