A well-organized coalition of pro-family and civic organizations in Miami-Dade soundly defeated a measure that would have given transsexuals access to public restrooms and locker rooms used by the opposite sex.
The Miami-Dade Commission gave initial approval in May to adding ‚Äúgender identity and expression‚ÄĚ to the county‚Äôs anti-discrimination law by an 11-1 vote but the measure stalled after intense lobbying by opponents ‚Äď led by the local Christian Family Coalition.
Bill sponsors withdrew it on August 14 because they lacked the votes to get it through committee....
I agree, Penelope,if more Christians would get involved in these type issues..our pastor preached on this same issue and research revealed that during the Obama election a very large percentage of Christians did not even vote..don't remember the exact amount. So yes, hats off to the town that took action!!
we should be sourcing the funding. like transgenders are such a huge force of numbers to reckon with?? they are being used for a greater purpose, the aim is Christianity. and we see history repeating itself... the darwinists, so easily persuaded, are only harming their own children in the process... not like this is really good for anyone.
but kudos to those who organized a voice for the community and stopped this nonsense. excellent work!
