23 percent of German men say “zero” is the ideal family size

The reality is that the German population is shrinking and towns like this one are working hard to hide the emptiness. Mr. Voigt has already supervised the demolition of 60 houses and 12 apartment blocs, strategically injecting grassy patches into once-dense complexes.

“We are trying to keep the town looking good,” he said.

There is perhaps nowhere better than the German countryside to see the dawning impact of Europe’s plunge in fertility rates over the decades, a problem that has frightening implications for the economy and the psyche of the Continent. In some areas, there are now abundant overgrown yards, boarded-up windows and concerns about sewage systems too empty to work properly. The work force is rapidly graying, and assembly lines are being redesigned to minimize bending and lifting. ...

Many people still want babies, but can't. Many of them long to adopt a baby. But there are very few babies for adoption, ever. Abortion is morally unacceptable, and this feature would indicate that it is also socially and practically unacceptable too.
FERTILITY RATES are fine - but ABORTION RATES are huge
-- watch www.180themovie.com --
We kill vast numbers of the babies who are conceived in Europe and America, by abortion.
In the UK the number is hidden, being done by the NHS. Pregnant mothers watch scans of their developing child, and buy photos to take home, at stages of development when abortion is still legal. Make abortion illegal, and prosecute those who practice it. In hospitals, don't re-label abortion as "D&C" (dilation & curettage) so that Christian nursees who refuse to attend abortions will suddenly find themselves face with holding a live newborn in their hands and being forced to flush the tiny baby (still breathing) down the sluice, as happened to a nurse I worked with. She was not allowed to take it to SCBU.
We'll save a tree, but not an unborn child. We'll save the whale, but not an unborn child.

Oliver, I'm glad you asked that. I should have included Bible references in my first comment.

Exodus 28- Read through there and you'll see what God required Aaron's holy garments to look like. God wasn't going to just accept anything. He has standards. Vs 4 mentions a breastplate, Aaron's chest was covered. Vs 7 mentions shoulder pieces. Vs 42 mentions breeches and that a revealed thigh is nakedness.

Isaiah 47:2 talks about uncovering the thigh and in vs 3 calls it nakedness.

Matthew 5:28 talks about how just looking with lust is adultery. Temptation is in revealed chests (which both genders in this picture have revealed), thighs, etc.

1 Timothy 2:9, 10 and 1 Peter 3:1-6 tells us that God expects Christian women to dress modestly.

He has standards. Its not an everything goes kind of deal.

Oh and I should note that I'm using the KJV Bible. Yes the "version" you use does matter. There's only one true Bible but that's another subject. Hope that helps.

Oliver, a rather good question. Besides in the modern Western society. It should have been a picture of two men or two women. I don't know what legality demands to show the cover of a copyrighted magazine, so SA might not have been able to do any editing.

See, Dress especially that of the ISBE, but the other sources given look interesting as well.

I don't really know if subsidies for having children would help the German situation or not. I don't think they're doing that much good in France? I could well wonder if this 23% men should be fathers, until they went up the The Roman Road

Sf from Tx, this is an honest question. I don't know the scriptures very well at all, so could you tell me where I can find that written?

Hey sermonaudio, how about cropping pictures instead of posting naked people. Yes I said naked, by God's standards they are.

Mattew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Pastor Rubino calls Europe a bunch of "spoiled brats" who don't want any children. There was a time when Europe was the center of Christianity, but no longer.

As a bivocational pastor of a tiny baptist church in Coney Island and with nine mouths to feed, he ponders how NYC became a city that kills more in utero than born and has a day when more men marry men than women all within the span of his two score years of life.
